Willow Smith Hits The Chanel Show With Dad Will, Lagerfeld’s Collection Wowed Once More
Willow Smith had one affectionate date on her arm while she attended the Chanel Couture Show in Paris on Tuesday, July 5. Her father, Fresh Prince star and notable leading man Will Smith, was by her side for the big event.
Willow is a Chanel ambassador and the newest face of Chanel eyewear, so the teen was sure to arrive with her fashion game on point in a teal pantsuit by the fashion house, which was paired with a zip-up vest and accented with a pair of white and burgundy brogues. Smith made sure to bring that extra bit of hip and rock star-inspired glam by accenting her outfit with leather gloves and dark shades, much like Chanel’s chief designer, Karl Lagerfeld.

The iconic figure in fashion even jumped in on a few pictures with Smith, within which Willow’s gorgeous glam makeup involving icy blue shimmer can be seen.
The 15-year-old daughter to Will Smith spoke about how she selected her ensemble for the show.
“I went to the Chanel house and looked at a few options. I love leather. It looks like another take on a motorcycle suit but I thought it was very youthful, and the gloves are super futuristic.”
Although Willow chose to be garbed in color, Will went monochromatic with his fashion choices for the event. Us Weekly shares about the Fresh Prince’s dapper attire.
“The Concussion star, 47, also wore a pantsuit, but in black with a long-sleeved blazer and a black short-sleeved crewneck underneath. And instead of his Fresh Prince of Bel Air-era Jordans, Will, who sat next to Jessica Chastain in the front row, rocked a simple pair of black high tops with a white sole.”
There were a number of A-listers seen at the show, and Lagerfeld’s designs did not disappoint. The pieces sent down the runway remind the world why Lagerfeld remains such an iconic figure in the fashion industry, seeing as the workmanship on each garment makes each like its own masterpiece to admire.
Glamour referred to the anticipated even and the excitement that the occasion brought with it.
“[T]he haute couture shows were going full steam ahead in Paris. From Atelier Versace to Giambattista Valli, the runways have been phenomenal to date. Plus, Celine Dion has been making the front-row rounds, which is been thoroughly enjoyable if you’ve been following along on Instagram. Today’s Chanel show, however, has most definitely been the highlight of the collections so far—especially since Willow Smith made her first appearance.”
Celine Dion and the Smiths? That is a fantastic mix to be in the company of. Jada Pinkett Smith was absent this time around, seeing as her daughter had opted to take her along to her first show while an ambassador for Chanel back in March. It was daddy’s turn this time around. Will, of course, had a beaming smile the entire time he was at the event with his accomplished daughter, who also has a successful music career.
As adorable as Willow and Will Smith were at the Chanel show in Paris, attention must be paid to the incredible fashion, itself. Glamour relays the direction Lagerfeld went with the specific collection.
“Lagerfeld re-created the actual Chanel atelier, where all the couture looks are made, within the Grand Palais, and had the models walk throughout it. It was a nod of respect to the extraordinary seamstresses, tailors, and specialists within the rarefied world of couture, encouraging you to look more closely at the garments and get an idea of the hours and hours of handiwork that go into them.”
Certainly, it was another impressive show by the House of Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld.
