‘Married At First Sight’ News: Jamie Otis And Doug Hehner Reveal They Are Expecting Their First Child

Big news is out for Married at First Sight couple Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner. These two met on the day they got married, and everything has worked out great. Jamie and Doug had a few growing pains in their relationship, but they were able to work it out in the end.

People shared the news that Jamie and Doug have a baby on the way. Everyone knows this was something very important to Jamie, but Doug had a list of things he wanted to get done before they had their first child. Jamie helped raise her siblings and seems like she will be a great mom.

Jamie Otis shared that being a mom has been her dream, and they are really excited to start this chapter in their lives.

After that, Doug went on to share his thoughts, saying, “It feels like we’re just now truly starting our lives together. It’s the icing on the cake for us to be starting our family and we’re absolutely over the moon.”

Fans know that Doug wasn’t quite ready for babies, but it looks like he is now ready for this journey.

Doug Hehner did have a bucket list, and he wanted everything signed off on before he had a baby. He actually went skydiving last year, and after that trip, he told Jamie Otis that he was ready to have a baby with her. At this time, Jamie isn’t sharing her due date or the sex of the baby.

Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner were also on a show called Married at First Sight: The First Year. The series, which also features Courtney and Jason, highlights how their life is going now. It would be great if they would share all about their journey with the pregnancy and their first baby on this show.

Radar Online shared how Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis are revealing a lot about Doug’s past. Jamie recently came out with a new book and shared how Doug actually had a problem with prescription drugs in the past. The book reveals a lot.

“Lost and aimless, he sank into a depression and became addicted to the pain pills prescribed after his injury. For two years, he was an incoherent zombie, suffering alone in the darkest period of his life. He lost weight and alienated his friends. He borrowed money from his parents to feed his habit. The pills took over his life and destroyed it.”

Doug shared that it got to the point where he was taking them to stop withdrawals and not to get high anymore. Doug went on to share more of the details.

“It got to the point where my day was consumed with finding pills. I would drive all over New Jersey, it didn’t matter where or how long the drive was. I couldn’t function normally without them. I would cancel plans, I would avoid my family, I was a miserable person, until I found pills.”

Jamie Otis shared that Doug has been sober from pills for over a decade now. He was able to move past it all and do just fine. Now, Doug and Jamie are expecting their first child, and they couldn’t be happier. Everything is finally falling into place for this family. It looks like getting married at first sight was the best thing they could have done, even though they weren’t quite sure at first.
