Katy Perry To Hit Back At Taylor Swift With ‘Bad Blood’ Response On New Album [Report]

According to reports, Katy Perry is preparing to hit back at Taylor Swift with a serious diss track on her new album.

New reports are alleging that Katy has at least one scathing diss track about Swift on her upcoming fifth studio album that’s thought to be a response to Taylor’s 2014 single rumored to be about their feud, “Bad Blood.”

“Katy has written a scathing response and intends to make it a single,” a source revealed to Radar Online of Perry’s alleged Taylor diss track, claiming that the song “will reference some of the things she feels Taylor has done to play her peers against each other.”

Although the site didn’t explicitly reveal when fans will get to hear Katy’s reported Taylor slam, Radar Online did report that fans could be hearing the Swift diss track pretty soon.

“Katy Perry’s new album is on the way,” the insider revealed of how soon fans can get their hands on Katy’s highly anticipated new album. “She’s been buried in meetings with her label execs over at Capitol to make sure it blows her competition out of the water.”

Katy and her team have yet to comment on reports suggesting that the as-yet-untitled album has at least one song aimed at Swift. However, this isn’t the first time it’s been reported that Perry is ready to hit back at Taylor in song over their well-documented feud.

Just last month, rumors began to swirl that Katy was actually preparing to make her supposed “Bad Blood” reply the lead single from her upcoming album.

Twitter account @MusicFactsShady speculated about the song on June 23, tweeting out, “Katy Perry’s lead single from #KP4 is rumoured to be coming this August and it’s apparently a response to ‘Bad Blood.'”

The Swift diss track rumor is still yet to be confirmed by Katy Perry or her team, though another Twitter user claiming to be a music engineer added more fuel to the fire by claiming that Katy’s “Bad Blood” response was very much real and featured on her upcoming release.

The rumor mill went into overdrive after Twitter user @lovelymissJJ alleged to have heard the Taylor Swift diss song and claimed that Perry’s diss track is “so good” but may be released too late to make an impact.

“Katy’s response to ‘Bad Blood’ is so good but no ones gonna care cos the beef died down,” the Twitter user, who goes by the moniker Nana JJ, revealed, also claiming that Perry and her team have already worked out her upcoming promotional schedule for the lead single.

Rumors have swirled for months that Perry was planning on hitting back at Taylor, with Hollywood Life even reporting last year that Katy had written a song called “1984” all about her and Swift’s past drama.

Claiming that the track was a nod to Swift’s multi-platinum album 1989, an insider told the site at the time that “‘1984’ is without question a diss track” aimed at Taylor.

“Katy was working on some other songs against Taylor, but ‘1984’ will be the main rebuttal to ‘Bad Blood,'” an insider admitted.

However, Perry’s representative later shot down the reports claiming that Katy had written the song as a response to Swift’s 2014 hit, denying that Katy had any involvement with the song.

“Katy Perry’s managers at Direct Management Group confirm that this story is completely false,” a statement read in regards to the reported Swift slam. “Katy Perry was not involved in writing, singing, recording or registering this song.”
