Vicki Gunvalson Changing Her Tune About Slade Smiley: ‘Maybe I Misspoke’

Vicki Gunvalson has been on The Real Housewives of Orange County for 11 seasons, and she has said and done things over the past many years that could have been wrong. It’s no secret that Vicki has said things to her co-stars over the years that have been wrong, outrageous, and perhaps said out of anger.

Gunvalson has feuded with Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, and Gretchen Rossi. Before Rossi left the show, she and Vicki got into some heated arguments about Gretchen’s relationship with Slade Smiley and Gretchen filming the show with a cancer-sick man when she joined the show.

According to a new Bravo report, Vicki Gunvalson is now revealing that she may have been wrong about some of the things she has said in the past about Gretchen. On the Real Housewives of Orange County uncensored episode, many of the wives talked about Rossi faking her proposal to Slade Smiley to keep her spot on the show. But Gunvalson may be changing her tune about her former co-star.

“Gretchen and Slade are still together. They’re still in love,” Vicki Gunvalson said, adding, “So that goes to show you that, you know what, maybe I misspoke saying that their love wasn’t real or so on.”

Just last month, Vicki Gunvalson was invited to a dinner with Kelly Dodd, Lizzie Rovsek, and Gretchen. She accepted the invitation because she wanted to settle the drama with her former co-star. And it sounds like things went quite well.

“They invited me, so I thought, why not go?” Vicki Gunvalson revealed of the invitation from Kelly Dodd and Gretchen to grab some dinner, adding, “So we went, and the guys showed up later. We had a great time.”

Even though they had a great time, Vicki Gunvalson doesn’t have time to become best friends with Rossi. She says there’s nothing left to mend because they are on speaking terms again.

“There’s no mending with Gretchen. We’ve moved on from when we’ve filmed together,” Vicki said about the situation, adding, “I don’t have a lot of room in my life for girlfriends. I just don’t. I work full-time, I have my career with Bravo, and I’ve got my personal life. You know, new dating, my daughter, the babies. So if I see the girls every now and then, I’m good with that.”

Of course, Gretchen was furious when Vicki slammed her for filming with her dying fiancee, Jeff, when she joined the show, when Gunvalson filmed with Brooks Ayers and shared his entire cancer journey on The Real Housewives of Orange County. On the show, Vicki is currently trying to get her co-stars’ forgiveness over everything that happened, but they are questioning whether she’s being honest about it all.

“I never lied. I made a mistake by exposing and showing some vulnerability on my partner’s side on how he was sick. In hindsight, I should have kept it private,” Vicki Gunvalson told the Huffington Post about her drama with Brooks Ayers, adding, “If their spouse or boyfriend was sick, I sure the heck wouldn’t ask for medical records. That’s where it all became really skewed and a problem and therefore the relationship ended.”

It is possible that Vicki will work on her friendship with Rossi so she can be invited to the wedding when it happens. In regards to her co-stars, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, and Meghan King Edmonds don’t appear too excited about Vicki coming back into their lives.
