Kate Middleton Rumors: Duchess Kate’s Mom, Carole Middleton, Reportedly Sparking Royal Family Feud With Her Attempts To Grab The Spotlight

Kate Middleton could be in the middle of a Royal Family feud, with rumors that Duchess Kate’s mother is overstepping her bounds with family members and pushing already simmering tensions.

Duchess Kate is rumored to be caught in the middle of two opposing forces, with her very persistent parents trying to stake their claim in her life while royal traditions leave certain prescriptions about where she must live and how she will raise her children.

That tension reportedly spilled over this week at Wimbledon, when Kate’s parents reportedly angled their way into the Royal Box. As Celeb Dirty Laundry reported, their invite didn’t sit well with Camilla Parker-Bowles, who was “forced to wait decades before she was able to enjoy the tennis matches” from the venue.

This is not the first time that Kate Middleton’s family is accused of starting something of a Royal Family feud. Last year, there were similar reports that Carole Middleton was clashing with Queen Elizabeth II over how Duchess Kate and William raised their children.

An October report claimed that Carole Middleton was trying to push the couple away from royal traditions, leaving the rest of the Royal Family a bit peeved.

As Celeb Dirty Laundry reported at the time, it was Duchess Kate’s parents taking the lead in their lives.

“By convincing William to insist the Middletons be not only accepted, but welcome and present in their lives, the middleclass Middletons were able to orchestrate a royal revolution. Carole and Michael Middleton housed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after Kate gave birth to Prince George, greatly influencing their parenting style from George’s infancy.

“Carole eventually took over, changed royal traditions, and even set Prince George’s naps times to coincide with Prince Charles’ visits.”

Carole Middleton has been reportedly getting on the nerves of Royal Family members not only for her attempts to exert control over Duchess Kate’s life, but also her attraction to the spotlight that royalty brings. As the Daily Mail noted, Carole is reportedly using her daughter’s fame to advance her own career, and has started to write a lifestyle column for Little London magazine.

This is the same criticism leveled against Kate Middleton’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, who became something of a lifestyle guru and even wrote her own book on party planning. There have been reports that Royal Family members aren’t too happy about Pippa using her sister’s fame to make herself something of a minor celebrity, and there were even reports during Kate’s first pregnancy that Duchess Kate and Prince William had to ask Pippa to scale back on her public appearances to reduce potential exposure for the family.

The Daily Mail notes that the same fears are now being stirred again by Carole Middleton.

Her daughter Pippa was widely ridiculed when she doled out blindingly obvious advice in her book about party planning.

And now Carole Middleton is risking similar mockery by offering her own collection of glaringly self-evident tips.

But it’s difficult to determine how much truth there might be to rumors of tensions within the Royal Family. Kate Middleton has been a source of seemingly endless tabloid reports for her entire relationship with Prince William, and more often than not the reports turn out to be untrue. That has been the case with the continual reports that Duchess Kate is pregnant, with a new report every week or so.

And if there are tensions being raised by Carole Middleton, there are no outward signs of it. Kate Middleton’s mom was pictured with the Royal Family members — including Camilla Parker-Bowles — at the Royal Box at Wimbledon, appearing very much as if they were getting along and enjoying the tennis matches.
