Lindsay Lohan To Author Book On Her ‘Personal Experiences,’ Teases Music Return

As her 30th birthday gets ever closer, entertainer Lindsay Lohan is doing all she can to make her best yet. In a just-released interview with Vanity Fair, the Parent Trap and Mean Girls starlet revealed that she has several projects lined up to take on, but one of them is unlike anything she’s ever done before: she’s becoming an author.

“I am in the process of writing a book,” Lohan told the entertainment tome, “and I am very excited to share my personal experiences in life and how to overcome obstacles. I hope that my words will connect with those who need some guidance when [or] if they are in a tough place.”

Considering the many tough places that she’s been in, Lohan’s definitely the right person to author a book on such experiences. Beginning with rumors of problems while filming Herbie: Fully Loaded in 2005, the once-lauded triple threat is now more noted for the meteoric fall from fame that she endured instead of the many highs — no pun intended — that she hit.

After several arrests for charges ranging from DUI to drug possession and even jewelry theft, many feared that the phenom who captured audiences in films such as Georgia Rule and Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen wouldn’t live to see her 21st birthday, much less her 30th.

“I am grateful that I have a voice, which I now feel comfortable using as a platform to let people know that we all have ups and downs in life,” she continued. “We can all come up from the downs if we get in touch with our inner self and spiritual side.”

Along with Lohan’s book, those who were once fans of her two-album long discography can finally look forward to a long overdue third offering.

For years, talk of a follow-up to Speak, released in 2004, and A Little More Personal (Raw), from the year afterward, was said to be on the horizon (songs from the unreleased LP, rumored to be titled Spirit in the Dark, have been floating around online for some time now). The whispers got a bit more clear with the release of “Bossy,” a tune co-written by R&B mainstay Ne-Yo that gave Lohan her first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart back in 2008.

“I have to record another album for Universal/Motown,” she expressed to fans via a live chat last week (so says E! Online), “and I will. As much as I want to sing every day, I don’t want my sister [burgeoning singer Ali Lohan] to hate me!”

These days, life for Lohan, the up-and-coming author, is much different than it used to be. Along with living in London with her alleged fiance, Russian empire heir Egor Tarabasov, the former party girl who once appeared in tabloids almost daily is now happy living a peaceful, more healthy life. When she’s not readying her book (which is said to be in the beginning stages) or reading scripts, she often meditates and spends time with her well-publicized, albeit similarly recently reserved, family.

She also, surprisingly, doesn’t look back at her many past mistakes as “regrets,” instead choosing to be proud of the fact that she got through the times that will surely pop up in her book — situations that will be told, this time, by her own hand.

“I wouldn’t call things regrets, per se,” she explained. “I can’t turn back time — but if I could, I would have listened more to my mother (Dina Lohan), gone back home to N.Y.C. earlier in life, and chosen my friends more wisely. [I’m proud of] being strong and allowing myself to accept my faults. [Because of] that, [I am] the person I am today.”
