Vicki Gunvalson On Kelly Dodd: ‘She Had Compassion For Me’ Over Brooks Drama

Vicki Gunvalson tried to settle the drama with Heather Dubrow during the premiere episode of this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Sadly, it didn’t really seem to go anywhere, as Heather didn’t really feel that Vicki was owning her involvement in the infamous cancer scam that Brooks Ayers led last year. Gunvalson has revealed that she felt completely fooled by Brooks, but at the same time, she strongly believed that he had cancer. Meghan King Edmonds, Tamra Judge, and Shannon Beador all believe that he lied about having cancer and that Vicki knew something, so they all had a few warnings for Kelly Dodd about her new friendship with Vicki.

According to a new Bravo report, Vicki Gunvalson is now revealing that she is shocked that the other housewives would warn Kelly about her. She strongly believes that Dodd is a grown woman and can make up her own mind about who she can be friends with. And Kelly did seem like she had a great time with Gunvalson.

“I think it was wrong and childish for any of the ladies to try and influence Kelly not to be friends with me. I mean what, are we five years old on the playground? I can’t help to think how any of them would feel if that was done to them. Kelly is a big girl and she can be friends with whomever she wants to,” Vicki Gunvalson explains in her blog for the show.

Of course, Dodd hasn’t watched any of the previous seasons of the show, as she had no idea that Tamra Judge was going through a custody issue with her ex-husband, Simon Barney. Tamra had opened up about this struggle on the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion last year, where she revealed that her oldest daughter was living with Simon and completely ignoring her. She broke down when Dodd asked her about her children, and Kelly was completely oblivious to the fact that Vicki Gunvalson had been involved in the biggest cancer scheme on reality television.

“Kelly didn’t know anything about my previous relationship, so when I told her about what I went through with not only the ladies but with “him,” she had compassion for me. I mean who in their lifetime hasn’t been betrayed by someone? All of us have,” Vicki Gunvalson explains in her blog, sharing that she was just very unlucky to have her betrayal play out on national television, as it did consume much of The Real Housewives of Orange County last year.

“Unfortunately, mine was on TV which magnified it even more. Last year was one of the hardest years of my life and I can’t believe at times that I made through it. Losing my mom, and the betrayal of ‘him’ all within a few months really brought me to my knees,” Vicki reveals, adding that she is moving on with her life, writing, “I’ve been dating a special man for the past two months and yes, we are taking it very slow but it’s nice to feel cared for and appreciated.”

These days, Vicki has moved on with a new man, who she may introduce on the show. It is possible that she will keep him away from the show, given everything she went through last year, but her life is an open book so fans will just have to wait and see. As the previews show, Gunvalson will talk to Brooks Ayers at least one more time this season.

What do you think of Vicki Gunvalson’s comments that the other housewives should stop judging her so much? Do you think the ladies need to move on?
