‘Big Brother 18’ Recap: June 29 Episode Addresses First ‘BB18’ Veto, Jozea Flores Continues Spiral [Spoilers]

Big Brother 18 recaps are a great way for fans to keep up with the show. This particular BB18 recap covers the Wednesday, June 29, episode, as the producers finally reveal what took place during the first Veto competition of summer 2016. This served as the fourth episode of the season, covering what had already been known by viewers of the live feeds. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there had been various Big Brother 18 spoilers about the Veto winner and how the power was used this past week.

When CBS viewers last saw inside the BB18 house (during the Sunday, June 26, episode), Frank Eudy had just won the Roadkill competition and placed Paul Abrahamian on the block. Paul became the third nominee, joining Jozea Flores and Paulie Calafiore as the houseguests possibly facing eviction during the upcoming “live” episode on June 30. This Big Brother 18 recap from June 29 picks up right after that revelation was made, with the three nominees knowing that the Veto competition could lead to a quick exit from the block.

While Paul Abrahamian and Paulie Calafiore appeared to know the importance of winning the Veto, Jozea Flores instead appeared to feel really safe. For the past two weeks he has been talking about how he “runs the house” and how it would be easy for him to win the $500,000 prize. Viewers of the live feeds already knew how close he was to getting voted out of the BB18 house, but CBS viewers hadn’t seen just how confident he had remained through those first 13 days in the house. That all led up to the Veto competition that played out on television Wednesday night.

Jozea hatched a plan to get Paulie evicted, stating that he needed to go because he’s a veteran’s brother. Not only that, but Jozea also tries to convince everyone that it was Michelle Meyer who won the first Roadkill competition of the season. The problem, though, is that many people already know that Frank Eudy won it, so they start going along with the story that Jozea is selling. Zakiyah Everette, James Huling, and Da’Vonne Rogers all play along with this, which causes the paranoia of other houseguests to climb.

This leads right up to the first Veto competition of the season. The players were the HOH (Nicole Franzel), the three nominees (Jozea Flores, Paul Abrahamian, and Paulie Calafiore), as well as Da’Vonne Rogers and Corey Brooks. This really stacked the deck against Paul and Jozea, but they had no idea heading into the Veto competition. In a made-for-TV challenge, each of the houseguests had to wear a cheap dog costume as they play it out.

As for the most prominent Big Brother 18 spoilers from the June 29 episode, Paul Abrahamian ended up winning the Veto. This meant that he would be coming off the nomination block and that Frank Eudy would have to name a replacement nominee. At the Veto ceremony, it was revealed that Bridgette Dunning was now on the block. Frank let producers know in secret, and some of the BB18 house still doesn’t know who won that Roadkill competition. Jozea still assumed it is Michelle pulling the strings.

The main takeaway from the June 29 episode is that Jozea Flores, Paulie Calafiore, and Bridgette Dunning are on the block for the eviction ceremony on Thursday, June 30. Another fact that has presented itself (again) is that Jozea is in complete denial about being the next target for eviction. Unless something major changes in the next 16-18 hours, the Big Brother 18 recap from the June 30 episode will be naming Jozea as the second eviction of the summer.
