Kate Middleton: On Beauty, Her Power Of Persuasion And Keeping Trim In The Spotlight

Kate Middleton is known for many things, including her flawless flowing locks that are always immaculately styled. Her signature blowout look has been one that has been envied by many women around the globe, yet it’s not impossible to achieve. In fact, as the Duchess’ hairstylist relays, it’s downright simple to achieve by simply getting your hands on one key tool.

The Independent shares the little secret which has major benefits when Richard Ward is styling Kate’s hair for events.

“Hairstylist Richard Ward has been working with the Duchess of Cambridge since she was a university student at St Andrew’s and he credits a €15 brush for getting a near identical version of the Chelsea Blow Dry. He recommends combing wet hair with Tangle Angel, which helps to ‘lift the hair and really get to the cuticle” and don’t be afraid of twirling.’ “

Unfortunately, Ward is forbidden to disclose exact details about the Duchess’ hair care regimen, but he does share with the publication that Kate is “just as down-to-earth” as she was when he first began styling her hair back when Middleton was in university. The stylist spoke with People about Kate recently.

“She’s the same person that first came into the salon 10 years ago.”

The publication shared earlier this year that Kate’s voluminous hair, styled by Ward, has been nicknamed the “Chelsea Blow Dry.” The blow dry was actually trademarked by Ward and has been a favorite at his salon since long before Kate started dropping in for blow-outs. Richard Ward spoke about the reason women are so drawn to the style.

“It’s not just about Kate’s hair – it is beautifully finished, frizz-free, shiny hair. It’s a hairstyle that is well finished.”

Kate Middleton has quite a lot of pressure on her to always be at her best in regards to beauty and fitness level. Because Kate ensures to select only the best fashions and maintain herself so immaculately, Middleton has had a massive effect on fashion designers and beauty care professionals’ business. It seems whatever product the Duchess uses or whatever designs the beauty chooses to step out in, there is an immediate increase in profit for whatever brand or designer responsible. This phenomenon has rightly been termed the “Kate Effect,” and it’s all too real.

Just recently, credit has been passed to Kate and Prince William’s little ones, seeing as that now whatever Prince George or Princess Charlotte are spotted wearing, or whatever toy they might be playing with, sells out immediately. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are clearly the favorite royal couple at the moment and all eyes are constantly on them and their adorable children.

Unfortunately, positive press is sometimes overshadowed by the negative tabloid stories that are often published about the Duchess. Most recently talk of an apparent eating disorder has been spurred on by claims within numerous celebrity tabloids. The Duchess has always been trim and fit, yet stories are swirling that suggest Kate is thinner than ever, and it all must be due to her obsession with keeping thin and fit. Suggestions have also been made that it all has to do with her stress level as a mother of two while being expected to perform all her royal duties while ensuring to be flawless.

The Inquisitr recently reported on these claims.

“Although Kate has always maintained a trim figure, she turned heads and started the rumor mill churning late last month when looking extremely thin and haggard at the #Headstogether campaign launch, as the publication shares. What is also noted is that Kate likely feels she must walk a fine line to keep looking her best for all those royal watchers. That along with the stress of her role and being a busy mom of two is likely the culprit to her somewhat thinner frame these days.”
