Wells Adams Says He Wanted First Kiss With ‘Bachelorette’ JoJo Fletcher To Be Special

Wells Adams has spoken out after The Bachelorette viewers watched him have his first one-on-one date and first kiss with JoJo Fletcher on the latest episode that aired on Monday night. Unfortunately for Wells, JoJo told him during the date that she didn’t see a relationship with him. She declined to give him a rose, which meant that he was sent back home from Argentina.

On Twitter, Wells thanked people for their kind words. He addressed the fact that he hadn’t kissed JoJo until so far along in the season by stating that he doesn’t kiss girls for the cameras. He added that a first kiss should be special.

On Instagram, Wells said that he wanted his first kiss with JoJo to be special and he thinks it was.

“Thanks for the kind words guys. The truth is I wanted my 1st kiss w/ Jojo to be special. I think it was.”

Wells Adams, a radio show host in Nashville, Tennessee, made a big impression when he met JoJo Fletcher on the first night at the mansion. Wells didn’t just come out of the limo and introduce himself to JoJo but also brought along the R&B group All 4 One to serenade JoJo with a song. Not surprisingly, JoJo was impressed.

Wells’ behavior during an early tough group date also impressed JoJo. During the group date, the men were asked to be firefighters who had to save JoJo. While the other men didn’t seem to have much trouble with the heavy firefighter gear and strenuous physical tasks, Wells visibly struggled. He looked so unwell that the firefighters supervising the challenge had Wells take breaks and drink water. Despite feeling as if he was going to pass out, Wells pushed himself to continue and didn’t complain. JoJo was so impressed by Wells that she gave him a rose.

On the latest episode, the remaining men and JoJo traveled from Uruguay to Argentina. Wells expressed hope that he was going to be named in the one-on-one date card with JoJo. As it turns out, his wish came true. Prior to the date, Wells admitted to the other guys that he hasn’t kissed JoJo yet, a fact that the others didn’t know.

“Okay I’ll be frank with you guys. I’m the one guy who hasn’t kissed her.”

The other guys expressed shock that Wells hadn’t kissed JoJo yet. Some of them made some fun of Wells for the lack of action. When JoJo went to the guys’ suite prior to the date, Luke Pell jokingly asked her and Wells if they’re going to kiss that day. JoJo wasn’t so amused of Wells being made fun of. “Hmmm… that’s funny,” she replied.

On their date, Wells and JoJo walked around Buenos Aires and then went to a performance art show. In a confessional interview, Wells said that he wanted to wait until the perfect situation to kiss JoJo. After watching some performers perform and then performing themselves, they gave one another high-fives and JoJo leaned in for a peck on the cheek.

After the peck, Wells and JoJo got in a sliding pool for some water art. Recognizing the “do or die” moment, Wells finally kissed JoJo on the lips. They continued kissing for awhile. “We did it!” JoJo screamed in happiness.

They then had an intimate dinner in a mansion. Wells confessed that his last relationship ended after four years because he realized that they had become just good friends. At that moment, JoJo realized that she and Wells were perhaps better off as friends rather than romantic partners. JoJo told Wells that she needs passion in a relationship. Wells remained skeptical that such passionate love forever is possible.

JoJo then told Wells that she doesn’t think he’s the right person for her.

“There was something that didn’t feel 100 percent like I wanted it to… Today I had to face the reality that you are an incredible human being, I just don’t know if you’re the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. So I’m not able to give you this rose tonight but I want you to know how amazing this has been, to get to know you, and how much I appreciate you. I’m sorry.”

Wells, crying, told JoJo that he hopes she finds love.

“This is important. This is a decision you can’t take lightly… You deserve true love and I hope that you find that… I do hope that you find what you’re looking for.”

On Twitter, Wells poked fun of his reaction upon being sent home.

Evan Bass, who was eliminated the week prior to Wells, tweeted that Wells should be the next The Bachelor star. Wells responded that he’s not sure he’s cut out for that.

Will viewers see Wells Adams on TV searching for love again? Perhaps. As the Inquisitr reported, Wells reportedly joined Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise.
