Justin Bieber Sings Taylor Swift Song: Fueling Feud Over Selena Gomez?

Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez have been involved for years in a fandango that results from Bieber’s on-and-off romance with Selena and Taylor’s close friendship with Gomez. Recently, Justin surprised his fans by choosing a Swift song to cover. And now, causing speculation about the status of the feud between Bieber and the “Bad Blood” singer, he’s done it again, noted MTV News.

Rather than “Teardrops on My Guitar,” Bieber was captured doing justice to “I Knew You Were Trouble.” The guitar-accompanied tune was captured on Martin Garrix’s Snapchat.

Adding to the signs that Bieber just might be a secret Swiftie, the “Sorry” singer covered her song prior to taking the stage in Nashville on his Purpose tour. That’s the same location where a very young Taylor jump-started her country music career.

Even though the feud supposedly continues to rage on, Justin shared last year that he wishes he could “make things right and hit the stage together again.” Is a potential collaboration awaiting Beliebers and Swifties in the future?

When Bieber covered another of Swift’s songs recently, there was speculation over whether it might actually end the feud that has lasted for years, noted Us Weekly.

Justin shared a video in which he sang her 2006 “Teardrops On My Guitar,” seated cozily in the passenger side of an auto. After Bieber posted it on Instagram, Taylor showed she liked his post.

However, their feud has lasted for years, with Justin’s roller-coaster romance with Selena repeatedly fueling Swift’s anger. The 22-year-old pop star has also caused dissension between the two girlfriends, a source told Us.

“Taylor hates him. She thinks Selena makes a mistake every time she reconciles with him. Bieber has really come between the girls.”

In addition, Justin reportedly felt Swift threw shade at him in talking with Gomez.

“He complains Taylor’s always telling Selena she can do better,” shared another insider.

As for discussing the feud in public, Swift once declined to respond to a question about Justin when she was being interviewed inside the Billboard Music Awards press room.

“Can we have another question?” she requested.

However, before the romance between Justin and Selena heated up, he succeeded in maintaining a friendship with both girls. All three were lined up in solidarity at the American Music Awards in 2011, and the Biebs even pranked Swift on MTV’s Punk’d.

But some speculated that when Bieber covered Taylor’s “Teardrops On My Guitar” song, he was mocking her and fueling the feud, according to Hollywood Life.

The signs that the Biebs was teasing Swift come in the form of jokes about Drew, who is the subject of the song, as well as Justin’s laughter. The 22-year-old pop star mocked the song with his pal.

“Do you even know Drew?..You don’t even know Drew! Who’s Drew?” they mocked.

Drew Hardwick is known as Swift’s high school crush, and in her song, she writes about her heartbreak when he romanced another person. Consequently, Justin’s jokes caused some to feel he was making fun of Taylor.

As for any hope of going from enemies to friends again, an insider told Hollywood Life that Bieber has no desire to become Swift’s pal.

For years, Taylor has made it clear that she is not in favor of the romance between Selena and Justin, and he consequently blames Swift for the repeated failures at rekindling the “Jelena” relationship, revealed the source.

“Justin knows Taylor doesn’t like him and never will and the feeling is mutual. He never expects to be her friend and is not looking to be her friend. He blames Taylor for some of his issues with Selena and that will never go away.”
