Kelly Ripa New-Co-Host: New Name Thrown Into ‘Live!’ Rumor Mill

Kelly Ripa could have a new co-host in the coming weeks! Live! With Kelly has been a bit of a revolving door since Michael Strahan left his co-host chair for a full-time spot on Good Morning America. Fans of Live! have looked at the various Kelly Ripa co-hosts as celebs auditioning for the role and have already chosen favorites. While Andy Cohen, Anderson Cooper, Jerry O’Connell, Rob Lowe, and Mario Lopez are all on the short list, a new name has now been added into the mix.

“I am flattered that my name has been associated with that. I’ve always maintained a great friendship with the show, some of the producers and folks within the show. I had a great time co-hosting, and I certainly would welcome it. My priority is Fox and Fox Sports, and NASCAR. I will definitely be back in the booth next year; if there was something that could fit into and around that, great,” Gordon said over the weekend.

Kelly Ripa’s new co-host rumors have been based on who the blonde firecracker has the most chemistry with. Fans have been very observant while watching the show each day, trying to see who would be a good fit on Live! As previously reported by the Inquisitr, fans absolutely fell in love with Fred Savage. Kelly had a great time with Fred; the two were laughing together and really seemed to be on the same page during the whole show.

“Kelly Ripa and Fred Savage joked about baby making and getting frisky with their respective spouses. Savage had Ripa laughing so hard that she said the back of her neck hurt! The two then interviewed Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones, and Savage totally held his own while chatting with the actress. It was, perhaps, when Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher joined Kelly and Fred on stage that viewers realized this guy is nothing short of perfect for the job.”

Kelly Ripa’s new co-host rumors haven’t really narrowed down the choices. Instead, there seems to be a new name popping up every other week, making the decision even more confusing. While every fan of the show has their favorite, the people ultimately making the decision have to see what works best for them. Producers have been very tight-lipped when it comes to giving even the smallest hint about who their front-runners are.

Kelly Ripa also hasn’t said too much about who she wants as her new co-host. Of course, it is unclear how much say she actually has in choosing the guy who will sit next to her every morning. Surely she would speak up if she loathed someone in particular; Kelly isn’t known for staying quiet.

Live! With Kelly will be taking its annual summer break beginning in August. It is believed that Kelly will be making an on-air announcement about her new co-host before taking a few weeks off to enjoy the rest of her summer.
