‘The Walking Dead’: Nervous Norman Reedus Gives ‘Rough’ Season 7 Hint During Interview [Watch]

The Walking Dead is currently filming Season 7. There have not been many updates, at least not as many as previous seasons, but sometimes a gem is uncovered. Norman Reedus recently went on a talk show to discuss many things. One of the topics was TWD. Although the zombie apocalypse TV star doesn’t like spoilers, Norman did give a “rough” hint. When asked about one rumor in particular, the actor seemed nervous.

All TWD fans really know for sure right now is that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed at least one person in The Walking Dead Season 6 finale. The identity of the victim was not revealed, which frustrated viewers. However, it does give a guarantee that the Season 7 premiere is going to be intense, graphic, and emotional. There are all kinds of theories surrounding Negan and who got “Lucilled,” but very few solid facts.

Even though many people love TWD spoilers, there are others who do not. A few who do not appreciate The Walking Dead spoilers include cast members Chandler Riggs and Norman Reedus. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the man portraying Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead doesn’t get why people are so obsessed with TWD spoilers. Even though Reedus may not understand how spoilers actually make viewers more excited for the season premiere, he did reveal a bit of information.

While on Conan, Norman was asked if different endings were shot to keep Lucille’s victim a secret. While he was being asked about Negan, Reedus was wringing his hands, indicating he was nervous. The actor usually isn’t shy and it is clear he was trying to figure out how to answer the question without revealing any information. What did Reedus have to say about The Walking Dead Season 7, Negan, and filming rumors? How did the actor respond to the question?

“They’re going to great lengths not to spoil it,” Norman Reedus vaguely replied regarding TWD filming rumors. “It’s like one of those things you ask for… you’re going to get it. You know, it might be rougher than what you were expecting.”

Those that have read The Walking Dead comic books know a bit about Negan. Whether the television character is the same or a bit different than the comic book character is not known yet. However, Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, and the other TWD big guns know fans want action. During the past few seasons, viewers have complained about slow-moving episodes or what are sometimes called “empty” or “filler” episodes.

It sounds like Norman Reedus is hinting that fans may get plenty of action, blood, gore, and horrifying storylines, but are viewers really prepared for that? Will The Walking Dead go to extremes to shock fans and give them what they want?

The actor also used the term “hardcore” to describe what is coming next for The Walking Dead fans. Norman has talked about how great the scripts were in previous seasons and he admits this. However, Reedus promises that the season premiere is going to blow everyone away. Is it possible that the season premiere could be more disturbing and graphic than Negan’s introduction in Robert Kirkman’s comic books?

During his appearance on Conan, the subject of Norman Reedus and Daryl Dixon impersonators were also brought up, as reported by Undead Walking. Reedus joked that the impersonator made him realize he really needs new clothing.

“I saw a picture of him,” Norman said of one specific impersonator, “and I just thought, ‘Man, I need new clothes.'”

What do you think of what Norman Reedus had to say about The Walking Dead Season 7? Do you think it will be hardcore and rougher than TWD fans expect? What are your predictions on who got Lucilled by Negan?
