Tim Tebow Helps And Prays With Family As Serious Medical Emergency Happens On Delta Flight To Phoenix

Tim Tebow may not be making any more history on the football field, but he is certainly making impressions in the lives of numerous people. As he’s been making a very big broadcasting career for himself, Tebow is still always there when he’s needed. On a recent Delta flight to Phoenix, a medical emergency happened to an elderly gentleman which brought together people from around the world to offer their help.

Then, Tim Tebow came forth.

Within the last week, Tebow headed to Orlando to visit a former high school teammate who had been injured during the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub. Now, he’s back in the spotlight without even trying to do it and it’s by using prayer and his ability to just be an all-around good guy.

As reported by CBS Sports and a number of social media posts, an older passenger suffered a medical emergency while on a recent Delta flight from Atlanta to Phoenix. One might think that no-one would know what to do after he fell unconscious, but that didn’t happen.

Other passengers from every ethnicity and those who were complete strangers to each other just came together to help. One passenger by the name of Richard V Gotti said that people were doing chest compressions, starting an IV, and breathing into him with the hope that he could be brought back.

Gotti said that he noticed others praying to the Lord as the crew from Delta Airlines did amazing things to work on the man. That was when another man came walking down the aisle and right up to the family of the sick passenger.

That man was Tim Tebow.

Gotti stated that Tebow “met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation.”

As this was going on, the flight crew did everything they could to get the plane down safely in Phoenix and they finally did. When the plane landed on the ground, Gotti said that it was the moment a pulse returned to the elderly passenger.

Many reported of Tebow’s appearance on the flight and how he stepped in to help and comfort in a time of need.

Delta Airlines spokesman Brian Kruse said that the medical emergency was confirmed to have happened and he had high praise for the actions of other passengers and the flight crew. One passenger was sitting behind Tim Tebow in first class and caught a picture of him as he heard something going on in the seats behind them.

Tim Tebow has not yet commented on the situation and he hasn’t posted on Twitter in four days so no-one really knows what his thoughts on the whole matter are. Honestly, Tebow probably won’t mention it to anyone unless he’s interviewed about it or it’s brought up to him.

That’s just the kind of guy he is.

UPDATE at 1 a.m. on June 28, 2016: People is reporting that once the plane landed, Tebow did go to the hospital and the sick passenger who was a male in his 60s. The man was traveling with his wife and friend, and it has now been revealed that Tebow waited with the family until doctors delivered news that the man had passed away.

There may never come another time that Tim Tebow steps onto a football field as a player with any team, but his legacy will never be tarnished. He did a lot during his collegiate and NFL career, but he’s doing so much more now that he’s no longer putting on the cleats and pads. The medical emergency on a Delta flight to Phoenix brought fear at first and then togetherness between a lot of people who didn’t know each other before Tebow brought forth the power of prayer.
