‘Game Of Thrones’ Possibly Spoils Future Of 5 Major Stars [Spoilers]

Game of Thrones has worked hard to fight spoilers from getting leaked. While they have not quite went to the lengths of fellow Sunday night genre show The Walking Dead, HBO still does everything in its power to keep its upcoming plot details a secret. However, a recent news report has possibly spoiled the chance for HBO to kill off five characters from the popular show — at least not until Season 8.

The A.V. Club reported that HBO has inked new big money deals with five of the stars of Game of Thrones through Season 8. This is interesting, since Game of Thrones Season 6 still hasn’t come to an end yet and Season 8 hasn’t even been announced for renewal yet. Of course, if Game of Thrones wants to end its story in Season 8, HBO will have no problem with bringing back the ratings juggernaut for that season.

So, who are the Game of Thrones actors who should safely make it through Season 7 to get to the alleged final season of the show? That would be Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. All five of the actors signed new deals that will pay them more than $500,000 per episode for Season 7 and Season 8 of Game of Thrones.

While there looks to be two more seasons of Game of Thrones, Deadline reported that Season 7 might just be seven episodes and Season 8 might just contain six episodes. That is down from the 10 episodes that Game of Thrones seasons usually last. That will cause the show to really pump up the action as the storylines and drama crashes to an explosive climax.

One thing that Game of Thrones realizes is that no one is safe from dying on the show. There is also the fact that the most recent episode of Game of Thrones killed Ramsay Bolton, one of the most hated villains on the show. The Inquisitr reported that actor Iwan Rheon was grateful for being given a chance at playing this despicable character, but with Ramsay gone, one wonders who will fall next.

The new contracts make it look like at least five major characters will make it through the shortened Season 7, but whether or not they die in the final season is another story. There should be a lot of deaths in that final season. The Inquisitr also previously reported that author George R.R. Martin told HBO and the Game of Thrones TV show producers how his final book in the series will end, so the TV show can end the same way his books will end.

Peter Dinklage plays Tyrion Lannister, Kit Harington plays Jon Snow, Lena Headey plays Cersei Lannister, Emilia Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays Jaime Lannister. It is clear who will play a major role in the final chapter of the Song of Ice and Fire novels, and the final season of Game of Thrones. As fans might expect, Martin does not plan to end things with a happily-ever-after ending.

Interestingly, another concern is that shortly after giving out these big raises to the Game of Thrones cast members, Brexit arrived and Britain voted to leave the European Union. This is currently killing the economy in Britain and has made some wonder about Game of Thrones, which is filmed partially in Northern Ireland. According to Fortune, HBO announced that Brexit won’t cause the show to lose money because HBO said that the EU has not really even supported Game of Thrones over the past few seasons.
