Watch England Cricket Vs. Sri Lanka 3rd ODI Live Stream: Surging England Look To Build On Dominant 2nd ODI Win

After a dramatic tie with Sri Lanka in their first One Day International match, the England cricket team put together a dominant performance in the second ODI, and will look to build on that 10-wicket victory in the Third ODI that will stream live from Bristol on Sunday, just two days later.

Sri Lanka hope they will not have to contend with another record-breaking performance from the two opening England batsmen, after Alex Hales and Jason Roy combined for an unbeaten 256, the highest partnership ever recorded for a single wicket in an England ODI.

The combined centuries from Hales and Roy made for the fifth-best opening stand in the history of ODI cricket play.

“I’ve never experienced anything like that, where we were so in control without being reckless,” England one-day Captain Eoin Morgan said after the second ODI, at Edgbaston.

“I thought the two boys were outstanding, very imposing. They just played brilliant cricket, very entertaining.”

But even with the stunning, match-winning partnership from Hales and Roy, arguably the best performance for England came from spinner Adil Rashid, who was touched for just 34 runs in his 10 overs while taking a pair of wickets.

Rashid has surrendered only 70 runs in 20 overs across the first two matches of the five-match ODI series against visiting Sri Lanka.

“It is just about that mindset – the positive mindset,” Rashid said, explaining his brilliant run of form in the two matches so far. “It was not really a technical thing, it was more about keeping it simple and the basics.”

Sri Lanka have relied heavily on the bats of Angelo Matthews and Dinesh Chandimal, who managed 44 and 52 respectively in the second ODI. But both stars could be doubtful for the third match in Bristol, as each has been suffering from a nagging hamstring issue.

“We have to try to flush it out of the system and forget about this game as quickly as possible, because we’ve got only one day to come back and play pretty well,” said Sri Lanka Skipper Mathews after enduring the thumping from Hales and Roy in Friday’s match.
