Melissa Rycroft Reveals She Hasn’t Spoken To Jason Mesnick Since That Awful Night On Stage

Melissa Rycroft and Jason Mesnick had one of the biggest splits in The Bachelor history. Jason got on stage during After the Final Rose and explained to her that he made a big mistake and should have picked Molly instead. It all worked out in the long run, but Us Magazine is now sharing that Melissa Rycroft is saying she hasn’t even spoken to Jason since that night on stage. Their huge split was the last contact they had, and Melissa is okay with it being that way.

Even though Melissa may not talk to Jason, she does feel like it all happened for a reason. She explained the details.

“I mean, you always cringe when you have to talk about it. It’s embarrassing, I think, for everybody involved. That’s not any of our shining moments. But I don’t think any of us would have changed how it happened because we are all where we are supposed to be. I am where I am supposed to be, and I’m with who I am supposed to be with.”

When Jason dumped Melissa Rycroft on that stage, it was really hard to watch. She was in tears and heartbroken. Then they brought Molly out so that Jason could explain to her that he made a huge mistake. Jason and Molly reunited, but it turns out Melissa never even tried to work things out with Jason. Molly was excited to hear the news and had always hoped he would realize he made a mistake. She actually didn’t even contact him again after that night. Melissa explained the details.

“I have not talked to him since the day I left that stage.… It is what it is. It was a breakup. There really hasn’t been reasons to talk. I wanted so badly to find love and wanted so badly to be that girl that he wanted that I didn’t really take time to be what I wanted. I wanted to be the girl who he wanted. So, again, I don’t want to change the outcome or change anything that happened, but I would have told myself back then, ‘It’s on you. Ask him questions, make sure this is a relationship that you want as well.”


Melissa Rycroft went on to say that she doesn’t feel like either one of them wish the other one ill. They just broke up and moved on. There has been no reason for them to communicate at all. Melissa has been married since 2009 to Tye Strickland. They have three children together and seem to be doing great. Jason is now married to Molly and they have a daughter together, and she is an amazing step-mother to his son Ty from a previous marriage. Melissa does wish that it didn’t happen, but she thinks that they both ended up with who they should be with in the end.

CW shared all about what Melissa Rycroft is up to now besides being a mom of three small children. She went on Dancing With the Stars after the show and because of this now has the career that she does. You can see Melissa hosting various shows all the time. She is also now working with Goody and helps promote their Ouchless Girls Brushes. Melissa is staying very busy but doesn’t seem to mind any of it.
