Kristin Chenoweth Still In Pain After Fracturing Her Skull On The Set Of ‘The Good Wife’

Kristin Chenoweth, the golden-voiced Broadway star making a name for herself on TV hits like Glee and The Good Wife, seems to have a great outlook after a devastating on-set accident that left her pain-ridden and with difficulty speaking, but the actress and singer does admit that she still has a lot of healing to do after the early-summer filming mishap.

Chenoweth appeared on Kelly Ripa’s show to discuss getting better after the accident that caused her to cut short her time on The Good Wife — although the actress briefly returned to film a short scene just recently. Kristen also thanked fans for all the concern and the outpouring of good wishes that followed the accident, saying:

“Those who sent me prayers and well wishes … I want you to know, I could really feel it.”

Chenoweth was hit with a piece of equipment and fell to the ground while filming in New York City, her head striking the curb as she was knocked out. The actress woke in Bellevue Hospital, surrounded by cuffed criminals and says her first thought was, “oh, the police are all here to see me!”

But Kristin is circumspect when it comes to the accident’s aftermath, saying that she still has a rough road to face in getting better:

“I couldn’t really form a sentence after it happened … I have a skull fracture and a rib issue and a hip issue. I’m just issue-ridden.”

But even suffering lingering pain and an impeded ability to work, Chenoweth says that co-star Josh Charles was there to assist her when she was hurt:

“He was holding my hand … He’s my angel.”
