‘Destiny:’ Xur’s Exotic Goods For June 24, Patience And Time On Sale

Destiny players have not seen the Patience and Time weapon in Xur’s inventory in quite a while. The mysterious vendor returned to the Tower for the weekend of Friday, June 24 with a refreshed collection of goods featuring the Exotic Sniper Rifle for PlayStation and Xbox owners.

Xûr can be found just outside of the Speaker’s building, next to the railing overlooking the city this weekend. Turn left as soon as you spawn in the Tower and run straight to the north part of the social space. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.

Patience and Time

Patience and Time is one of the more unique sniper rifles in Destiny, thanks to its stability and perks. Its reload speed is slow, but the magazine does holds six rounds. It also throws in the “Third Eye” perk that keeps the in-game radar up while aiming down the sights. The Patience and Time namesake perk also turns on active camouflage when aiming; useful in PVP and tough spots in PVE. The weapon’s Arc damage is always good for an Arc burn week in the Weekly Nightfall Strikes and Prison of Elders.

MK. 44 Stand Asides

The MK. 44 Stand Asides serve a very niche role for those that enjoy using the Striker Titan sub-class’ Shoulder Charge ability. The “Be Somewhere Else” innate perk grants a longer duration for when the Shoulder Charge can be activated and gives a tighter turn radius while sprinting. This is best used in Destiny‘s Crucible against other players. Even then, there are other Exotic armor pieces likely to be favored.

The optional perks for MK. 44 Stand Asides provide the choice between carrying more Fusion Rifle Ammo or more Rocket Launcher ammo. The 59 Discipline/60 Strength split stat is decent depending on how geared you are towards using Intellect toward your Titan’s super.

Lucky Raspberry

Lucky Raspberry is the exotic chest armor made for the Hunter Bladedancer sub-class. Its “Make Your Luck” intrinsic perk allows the Arcbolt grenade to chain further and lets you spawn with full grenade energy — excellent for PvP usage. Meanwhile, it also comes with optional perks to choose between increased Scout Rifle and Shotgun ammo, plus better Solar damage recovery or extra armor when using an Arc-based subclass.

The split 68 Intellect and 62 Discipline stat roll is superb. There’s little need to re-roll this piece unless there is a different set of ammo perks you seek.

Claws of Ahamkara

“The Whispers” perk gives Warlocks an additional melee charge, which is a nice bonus since this Exotic piece will work with any of the three Warlock sub-classes.

The optional perks give a choice between “Snap Discharge” to increase melee attack speed or “Momentum Transfer” to give bonus melee energy on grenade hits. There’s also a choice between increased reload speeds for Auto Rifles or Rocket Launchers, which is handy for those who prefer the two weapon types.

The Warlock melee is still formidable in Destiny, so the 69 Strength stat roll fits the bill.
