Bethenny Frankel On Miscarriage: Jason Hoppy Gave Her No Support During Dark Time

Bethenny Frankel hasn’t really talked about why her marriage fell apart when she filed for divorce. It’s no secret that Bethenny was sad about things coming to an end, but she revealed that nothing major had happened, such as cheating or a betrayal. But now, Frankel is revealing that she felt very alone when she suffered a miscarriage during the marriage. Bethenny and Jason Hoppy already have one child together, Bryn Hoppy, and they had tried for a second child. During this pregnancy, Bethenny suffered a miscarriage, and she’s now revealing that it wasn’t a good time in her marriage.

According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel reveals that she felt very alone after losing her baby. Now, Frankel can look back and guess that the fibroids that she’s dealing with now on The Real Housewives of New York probably had something to do with the miscarriage. But it sounds like Jason had no interest in being a support system for her.

“The miscarriage, based on things going on in my personal life and my marriage, I think that later I sort of just marketed it to myself as that was not meant to be because they would have made things even more difficult than they already were,” Bethenny Frankel revealed during an interview with ET, according to Bravo, adding, “I definitely felt like I went through that alone, that was definitely a negative time in my house.”

Bethenny could have used her Bravo platform to talk about the miscarriage when it happened. At the time, she was filming Bethenny Ever After and transitioning into her talk show, Bethenny. She could have talked about it, but Frankel felt that no one was talking about it, and thus, she didn’t talk about it. It was only later that Bethenny Frankel opened up about losing her baby.

“People will talk about money. People will talk on TV about their sex life, they’ll talk about infidelity, everything. People don’t talk about female issues,” Bethenny explained, adding, “I know a lot of people, and I’ve been through a lot, and it’s wild that I really don’t know anybody who’d gone through this.”

On this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York, fans learned that Bethenny had been bleeding quite a bit due to her fibroids. She had lost 10 percent of her blood and would need to go into surgery. Frankel would then need to cancel the trip to Mexico that she had been planning. But it sounds like having the fibroids removed could open the door to having another baby and that’s something Bethenny Frankel is open to.

“I don’t know. So many strange, surprising things have happened to me that I feel like you just have to let nature run its course,” Bethenny replied during the interview when asked about having more children, adding about her current relationship, “I’m really, really happy right now. When I was in the very, very, the most negative part of my divorce I would say it’s gnarly, it’s brutal, and it really can be. It’s been the worst experience of my life, so I’m ready to let the good times roll now. The surgery’s past me. Hopefully soon my marriage will be past me, and life is good.”

Frankel hasn’t been open about whom she’s dating, but she has been spotted on the streets of New York holding hands with business mogul Dennis Shields. On The Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny revealed that she was very happy and possibly in love.
