Xbox Live down overnight, makes apparent recovery

live-pic-425959695874

Gawker, Twitter, Facebook: all have temporarily gone down in the past few days in what has been a week of high drama on the stormy Internet seas. Last night, Xbox Live joined them in Downtime City, further disrupting all of our meticulously arranged lives.

There’s still no word from Microsoft explaining the drop in service (which occurred while most of North America was wrapped up in bed), but it seems to be back up for now. I’ll be keeping an eye on the situation over the next few hours, if only because I’ve saved an hour tonight to head online and embarrass myself with friends on 1 Vs. 100.

Man, and to think I almost considered going outside for a moment. Jeez, close call.
