Carson Daly loves music so much that his newborn daughter was born on the night of the MTV Video Music Awards, a fitting tribute considering Carson’s rise to fame on the hit MTV series Total Request Live (TRL).
Okay so maybe Daly had no say in when his daughter was born but that didn’t stop little Etta Jones Daly from being born on the night of the popular awards show.
Taking to his Facebook page Carson Daly wrote:
“Tonight at 5:15 p.m. we welcomed the latest addition to our family. Etta Jones Daly weighs 8 lbs. and is beautiful!”
The Voice host then added:
“Mom was a rockstar, [3½-year-old] Jackson James is a proud big bro, and Dad’s drinking a cold one. Praise God.”
Girlfriend Siri Pinter knew her baby was close to arriving and as a food blogger she attempted to eat “maternity salad” to help her pregnancy get underway.
Apparently the maternity salad was a success as Carson Daly had tweeted on Wednesday afternoon:
“I had to go into my office … ‘Did the salad work? Is there a baby yet?’ Contractions have begun!”
Fans of Carson Daly have been waiting for the baby for quite some time now, the couple chose to announce the pregnancy in May.
In case you were wondering Carson Daly won an award, a new baby daughter, which has to be totally better than listening to Adam Levin and Christina Aguilera pretend to fight on The Voice.
Congrats to the happy couple on the birth of their second child.
