Derick Dillard Confirms Jill Duggar Is Not Pregnant

Jill Duggar Dillard has been the target of pregnancy rumors for what seems like months. Speculations began as photos shared to social media by Derick Dillard appeared to show her hiding a baby bump. She comes from a big family and many expect her and her sisters to carry on the tradition of having multiple children. Currently, Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, are in El Salvador doing missionary work. Their son, Israel, is also with them. Fans have been wondering when he will become a big brother, and it looks like the answer has finally been given.

While it may have appeared that Jill Duggar Dillard was sporting a small baby bump in some of the photos her husband, Derick Dillard shared, it is not the case. According to the Hollywood Gossip, Derick Dillard confirmed that his wife is not expecting at the moment.

Earlier on social media Derick Dillard had joked about when the couple would make an announcement, but it appears that was just a poor attempt at a joke. Dillard hasn’t been very good at comedic relief lately, catching criticism for joking about the incredibly dangerous Zika virus. Duggar and Dillard are still planning to have more children, but right now they are not expecting another child.

Jill Duggar Dillard and Derick Dillard celebrated two years of marriage, but not many fans realize it. Their anniversary was yesterday, but their celebration was overshadowed by news of another Duggar sister courting and the renewal of Jill & Jessa: Counting On. Dillard hasn’t talked too much about the show and filming while doing mission work. She seems to enjoy being on camera and showing everyone what they are accomplishing through their work. Despite their anniversary being overshadowed by other events happening in the family, the Dillard family was more than happy to spend time with one another without input from anyone else.

Now that is has been confirmed that Jill Duggar Dillard is not expecting another child, Derick Dillard is being bombarded with questions about when the next baby will come along. They have been urged by concerned fans and critics to wait to conceive until they are back at home in order to avoid the risk of contracting the Zika virus and passing it on to their unborn child. Derick Dillard has made sure he is a huge influence in Israel’s life, often sharing photos of the two together on social media. While it is a little disappointing the Dillard family isn’t expanding yet, it just isn’t the right time for them. Because they are so strong in their faith, they are waiting on the blessing to come to them rather than actively “trying” to get pregnant.

As the new season of Jill & Jessa: Counting On gets underway, there will be plenty for the Dillard family and Duggar family to celebrate. Fans are excited the show was renewed despite heavy controversy over the mention and attachment to Josh Duggar. It seems that TLC was able to find some backing with advertisers who supported the show and not turned off by the name attached to it. The Dillard family will remain in El Salvador and will likely be sporadically featured like they were during Season 1. While there has been no confirmation on when filming will begin or when Season 2 will air, it will be nice to see the Duggar and Dillard families will be back on television once again.

Rumors of a pregnancy pact between Jill and Jessa Duggar circulated a while back. The idea was that both sisters would become pregnant together so that the show would be renewed and fans could follow their journey. Some fans were excited about the possibility, though no one really knew if that was going to happen or not. Derick Dillard has now confirmed there is no baby on the way, so fans can relax a little without more rumors of Jill Duggar Dillard being pregnant popping up.
