Trials HD and its recently-released sequel, Trials Evolution, were both both released on Xbox Live Arcade to massive success, but the PC platform has been missing out on all of the physics-based motocross platforming action despite being the platform where the series got its start.
That’s set to change with Trials Evolution: Gold Edition, which ports Trials Evolution to the PC with platform-specific enhancements. Exclusive to the PC platform, Trials Evolution: Gold Edition also adds in all of the areas from Trials HD, giving PC gamers two games in one.
“All of the features of its forerunners – from the in-game editor, player sharing of tracks, and global Leader Boards, will be re-integrated into the game in a way that fits the new platform,” Ubisoft said in a press release.
“As developer RedLynx’s signature franchise, the Trials series first made its mark in gaming with the 2008 release of Trials 2 SE for the PC. As momentum continued to build with the success of the Trials series on the Xbox 360, PC gamers continued to request more Trials. The Gold Edition is their reward.”
The Trials games are notorious for being quite difficult, so expect to be handed more than a few beatdowns with Trials Evolution: Gold Edition. As difficult as it is, however, it’s an absolute blast to play, and I can’t wait to try it out on PC.
