Julie Chen Hosts 'BB6'

‘Big Brother 18’ News: New Cast Already Inside ‘BB18’ House, Is Live Eviction Coming?

Big Brother 18 news includes a very interesting revelation from producers. The BB18 cast has reportedly been in the house since last Wednesday (June 15), marking the earliest that a season of the show has begun. On Tuesday, June 21, though, CBS revealed new BB18 cast photos, showing off the new houseguests in their swimsuits. These photoshoots could be just some of the many events that have taken place in the house over the past week.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, information about the summer 2016 season was leaked from production about how long the houseguests would be competing this season. Big Brother 18 will be the longest installment of the show to date, extending to 99 days. That’s one day longer than the previous high, showing that production has a lot in store for these houseguests. It also makes it less surprising that the contestants have already been in the game a week.

Additional Big Brother 18 news is that the season finale is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21 at 9:30 p.m. PT/ET. That will follow the season premiere of the new season of Survivor. Working backward from that date, it confirms that the BB18 cast has been playing the game since Wednesday, June 15.

The theme of Big Brother 18 hasn’t been revealed yet, but host Julie Chen and producers continue to hammer home the slogan of “Expect the Unexpected” for this season. Fans of the show already expect a twist to take place during the two-hour season premiere, with part of it including the return of some past houseguests. How many will be returning, how they enter the game, and the function that they will play this season continue to be hotly debated topics on social media. That has created even more Big Brother 18 rumors in the last 24 hours.

With the BB18 cast already inside the house and nearly a week of game time already surpassed, it could mean that the houseguests have played out an entire week of challenges and nominations. This leads to the possibility that the second episode of the season (on June 23) could actually contain a live eviction for East Coast viewers. It would certainly ramp up interest in the season and the excitement level of fans if something big takes place in the first two episodes.

Though it seems as though there has been a lot of Big Brother 18 news coming out, far less information about this season is known than previous installments that began on CBS. The media didn’t receive access to all cast members this season and there were fewer interviews given this time around. Though 12 “new” houseguests were interviewed by Jeff Schroeder on the live feeds, producers have also hinted that the show will have more cast members than that.

Many of the mysteries will likely come to an end when the season premiere airs at 8 p.m. PT/ET on Wednesday, June 22. The second episode will quickly follow on Thursday, June 23, at 9 p.m. PT/ET. Then, the BB18 live feeds will get turned on once the Thursday night episode has aired on the West Coast. At that point, fans of the show will finally be able to catch up on what has been taking place in the house. Big Brother 18 could begin with a bang, so fans don’t want to miss the two-night event on CBS.
