Selena Gomez Is Looking For A Boyfriend: Any Applicants?
Selena Gomez has asked James Corden two times to find her a boyfriend. Selena’s odd request is certainly a clear indication that she is over with her ex Justin Bieber, whom she last dated in 2014. This also indicates that Jelena is officially defunct for now.
It was on the episode of Corden’s Carpool Karaoke that Selena Gomez made the request, according to ET. After asking the Late Late Show host to find her a boyfriend, Selena quickly added that she wants to have fun. From the sound of it, the “Hands to Myself” singer was trying to qualify the kind of man that she is seeking.
To paraphrase, Selena is not interested in a boyfriend who will bore her to death. She is looking for a man whom she can have fun with. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a very young guy or someone close to her age. After all, Selena Gomez has said in the past that she doesn’t mind having a relationship with a much older guy.

Her only problem, she says, is that she looks too young for her age. So Selena Gomez considers it her fault that she cannot find older, more experienced guys. The actress and singer also said in the past that she is definitely attracted to bad boys, so that can also be factored into the profile of the Selena ideal man.
According to ET, Gomez has been linked with singer Charlie Putt, actor Orlando Bloom, and soccer player Neymar Jr. Of course, Justin Bieber should be added to the list because The Biebs is the only long relationship that Selena has had so far. That on-and-off relationship dates all the way back to 2010 and expired in 2015.

Apparently, Selena Gomez is very particular about these three requirements, so any serious applicant should pay due diligence accordingly. Anyway, back to Selena’s discussion with James Corden regarding the boyfriend thing, the latter also asked the “Hands To Myself” singer the pointed question: “You want to get a guy in every port?”
“No, not every place,” Selena clarifies.
And so it is clear that, although Selena Gomez is serious about finding the ideal boyfriend who her BFF Taylor Swift claims to have found already, she is not looking to play around too much — but at the same time, she wants to have fun. Translation: Unlike Taylor, she has no plans of getting married or having kids just yet.
This frantic search for a boyfriend comes as a surprise, which makes you wonder, what would have triggered this? Selena watchers are fully aware that she is actively dating in a discreet fashion. And then all of a sudden, she wants something more?
Here’s one possible explanation for the pop star’s erratic behavior. Taylor Swift and her new beau Tom Hiddleston recently visited Selena Gomez during one of her concerts, where they all had fun dancing. According to Yahoo, this is the second time that the public has seen Swift and Hiddleston dancing with abandon. Now if you bother to look at the video footage you will find how happy the new lovebirds are just dancing together.
Taylor Swift enjoying her newfound love must be rubbing off on her BFF Selena Gomez — this much we suspect. Finding how happy Taylor is like she’s never been happy before definitely affects Selena. And so she wants in on the happiness, too.
Selena Gomez has been on this road before, and that was when Taylor’s man was still Calvin Harris instead of Tom Hiddleston. We recall how Gomez said how cool a guy Calvin was. But now, seeing Taylor’s eyes sparkle and face glow like never before when around with Tom — all their displays of affection and seemingly genuine love for each other — are causing Selena to wonder if the perfect man for her is just out there waiting.
