Grammy-winning singer Patti LaBelle has reportedly settled a lawsuit with two New York City parents over a scuffle that took place in 2010.

According to Fox News, LaBelle, 68, has agreed to pay $100,000 to Roseanna Monk, a former Manhattan kindergarten teacher who accused the R&B diva of hurling curses and water at her and her 18-month-old daughter Genevieve during an argument over parenting in the lobby of Trump Place on Manhattan’s Upper West Side on November 11, 2010.

During the alleged altercation, Monk said she put her daughter down in the building’s lobby to carry luggage out to her vehicle. When LaBelle walked in and saw the child running around the lobby unattended, she went ballistic, according to the suit.

“What are you doing letting your kid run around like that?” LaBelle reportedly asked Monk at the time.

LaBelle then besieged Roseanna and her husband with such ferocity and doused them with water, which caused the couple’s baby to cry hysterically.

“LaBelle would not desist,” Monk’s lawyer, Samuel Davis, told CNN.

Davis called the incident violent and traumatic.

“The baby went from crying hysterically to vomiting,” he said, adding that the incident caused a change in the child’s personality for several months.

LaBelle, who lived in the same apartment building as the Monks at the time, denied the allegations in her initial response to the lawsuit last December, according to court documents.

However, once the singer realized the case could possibly end up in front of a jury, she settled to the tune of $100,000.

Monk’s attorney said LaBelle settled because she’d have a difficult time in court when a little girl accused her of yelling.

“The jury would be shaking their heads,” Davis explained.

The NY Post reports that all proceeds from the settlement will be donated to the Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund.
