Taylor Swift And Tom Hiddleston’s Relationship A PR Stunt? Not So Fast

Is Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s new relationship a PR stunt? OK magazine‘s latest headline says that the two are in a fake relationship in the wake of her recent split from Calvin Harris.

Their evidence is Hiddleston arriving at a hotel in New York City without the “Bad Blood” singer, as reason to doubt that their relationship is the real deal. If you’re questioning why OK! would point to that specific moment, it’s because Taylor Swift has an apartment in New York City that Hiddleston could’ve easily stayed in while he was in New York.

The magazine stated the following.

“Taylor Swift’s new beau Tom Hiddleston was spotted returning to the ‘Crosby’ hotel after a gym visit in Soho, New York City on June 18 but Taylor was nowhere in sight.”

Does this sound ridiculous? It’s because it is. According to Gossip Cop, there’s absolutely no merit to this story.

As for other news about the new couple, after the photos circulated around the internet of the two kissing on a beach not far from Swift’s residence in Rhode Island, outlets are came out of the woodwork to take a look back on the very beginnings of their relationship, even before they made it official.

While Taylor Swift was nearing the end of her relationship with Calvin Harris, People unearthed an interview with the Thor star, simply gushing about meeting Taylor Swift at the Met Gala. The actor told the Press Association about the meeting.

“I was on a table with Taylor Swift and The Weeknd was playing and she said, ‘The thing about these parties is nobody gets up to dance’ and you’re making music. She, as a musician, was like, ‘We’ve got to dance for The Weeknd,’ so we got up and danced.”

The video of them getting down to The Weeknd went viral, and Hiddleston later on told MTV about meeting Taylor Swift.

“I sat next to her at dinner that night and she’s very charming, she’s amazing. I’ve seen a couple of her videos. I think ‘Shake It Off’ was released around the time we made I Saw the Light, and she’s very cool.”

Hours before the photos dropped of Taylor and Tom kissing, Swift’s ex, Calvin Harris, blocked the singer from social media, deleted her from his Instagram photos, and tweeted a cryptic message about how “it’s about to go down” complete with skull emojis, before deleting that, too.

Although sources claim that Harris didn’t know about the budding romance between Swift and Hiddleston, that isn’t stopping Harris from allegedly throwing shade at the singer, or at least that hasn’t stopped outlets from thinking he’s taking subtle jabs.

Recently, Harris was seen wearing Yeezy sneakers while exiting the gym. This is supposed to be significant because Yeezy sneakers are designed by Kanye West, who is of course, a famous rival of Taylor Swift’s. Their latest battle in the media was over lyrics that Swift didn’t approve. Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian deny that Swift didn’t have any idea he was going to rap about her in his new song, “Famous,” but Swift’s camp is adamant that she didn’t approve these lyrics:

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b*tch famous.”

Do you think Taylor’s new romance will last? Better yet, do you think Calvin is throwing shade at his famous ex?
