Dorinda Medley Reveals Luann Should Have Handled The Thomas Drama Differently

The Real Housewives of New York star Dorinda Medley wanted this season to be fun, relaxing, and entertaining. She was hoping that they could have a good time as the drama took over last season. But this year, the drama has been present in every single episode, and Dorinda was shocked that her trip to the Berkshires ended up being a 12-hour screaming match. Even though Medley wasn’t involved in the drama, she did provide a setting for this screaming match, saying that she was disappointed with her co-stars.

According to a new Bravo report, Dorinda Medley is now revealing that the drama is continuing in New York thanks to Luann de Lesseps falling in love. Luann met Thomas D’Agostino last fall, and the two hung out for a couple of weeks before deciding that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Luann wanted to get married to Thomas, and she decided to tell her Real Housewives of New York co-stars about her relationship. But Thomas had dated Ramona Singer and slept with Sonja Morgan — and Luann completely broke the girl code.

“I will say this: Ramona should’ve been given the heads up, because they DID go out on several dates. Ramona mentioned it to all of us, and it would’ve been the right thing for Lu to do. So that’s that,” Dorinda Medley reveals in her blog, sharing that she thinks Luann should have reached out to Ramona and explained the situation to her.

It’s no secret that de Lesseps was happy to announce that she and Thomas were already talking about getting married, even though they had only been spending a few weeks together. When Morgan learned about Luann’s relationship with Thomas, she started talking about her relationship with him, calling him “my Tom.” And Dorinda Medley doesn’t think that she should have talked like that, especially since she knew that her co-star was now dating him.

“She shouldn’t really talk about her ‘relationship’ with Tom. That’s not nice. And you know me, I like it NICE! So I understand that Sonja is still upset about the Berkshires — not just in this episode, but STILL — like, in real life. Like I’ve been saying for weeks, I stand by my decision. I told her in this episode, going to the Berkshires ‘would have been DREAD-FUL for you.’ Truly, madly, deeply dreadful,” Dorinda Medley explains, sharing that she’s happy that she left Sonja Morgan at home in New York when the girls went to the Berkshires.

Of course, Dorinda wanted to leave Sonja at home in New York because she was already struggling to get along with her co-stars. They were all concerned about her well-being and Dorinda Medley didn’t want to put Sonja through even more drama with her co-stars, especially since she knew that they would be drinking during the weekend away. But Dorinda was just as shocked over Luann’s behavior when she sat down with Bethenny Frankel to discuss her relationship and the trip to Mexico.

“If we’ve learned anything about Luann, it’s that Lu doesn’t take NO for an answer. Even though she was never asked, she will preemptively not take NO for an answer. It’s comical. Even how they showed up, Lu in white, B in black … This was an epic, poetic, Cold War showdown over red wine in Manhattan,” Medley reveals in her blog, sharing that it was fun to watch Luann be so excited about her relationship and so out of touch with everything that was going on around her.

Of course, Dorinda Medley wants to have a peaceful trip to Mexico, so it will be interesting to see how that works out.

What do you think of Dorinda Medley’s blog for last week’s episode? Do you think Medley has a point about her co-star being a little selfish in this new relationship?
