Alec Baldwin Trashes Hank Williams Jr. Over Obama Comments
Yes, Alec Baldwin is still on Twitter, and he used his not-so-secret new account to slam country singer Hank Williams Jr. over recent comments he had made about President Barack Obama.
Baldwin has proved in recent months that he’s pretty much not terrified of anything including conservative country stars. He is also no stranger to ranting on his favorite microblogging site, Twitter. Now, to be fair to Mr. Baldwin, Hank Williams Jr. did indeed make some pretty incendiary remarks about President Barack Obama recently during a concert at the Iowa State Fair:
“We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him.” He said pretty much the same thing at a concert near Dallas recently, saying, “We’ve got a Muslim for a president who hates cowboys, hates cowgirls, hates fishing, hates farming, loves gays and we hate him!”
Baldwin unleashed a string of tweets in response to Hank Williams Jr.’s remarks in which he called Williams Jr. a “pathetic, wheezing fossil,” and a “broken-down, senile, racist coot.”
Williams Jr. has had some harsh words for the POTUS before as well. During an interview with Fox News last October, he compared Obama to Hitler. He was forced to apologize for that one, notes CountryWeekly.

Alec Baldwin is still very active on his ABFoundation Twitter page. It’s mostly politics these days, but, hey: We love cranky, antagonistic Alec Baldwin and don’t think he should have ever “quit” Twitter in the first place!
