The Phoenix Suns are looking for a new mascot. Yes, their is an opening inside the Phoenix Gorilla suit.

The iconic high-flying NBA mascot, which has been around since the 1980s, was one of the first mascots inducted into the Hall of Fame. But don’t apply for the job if you’re looking for fame. Yard Barker reports that the identity of the Phoenix Suns Gorilla is a well kept secret.
Here’s the job description for the Phoenix Suns Gorilla:

“Be a world-class performer and ambassador for the Phoenix Suns organization both on the court and at appearances (charities, schools, hospitals, local businesses, etc.). Continue the great Gorilla “Go” tradition of making people smile, leaving them with long-lasting/positive memories, and representing the team with pride and passion. This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to our Vice President, Game Entertainment.”

Think you have what it takes? Well, you might be surprised at the job requirements. The next person to fill the Gorilla suit will have a college degree, 2 years of mascot experience, Acro-dunk experience, and a great sense of humor.

Landing the Phoenix Gorilla job may be a difficult task but according to Robert W0olf, a former backup gorilla, the on-court Go can make up to $200,000 a year. But Woolf won’t be seeing those big bucks anytime soon. The backup gorilla was fired after he got into a fight at Dave & Busters with a Miami Heat fan.

But Woolf’s loss could be your gain.
