Kody Brown’s Desperate Attempt To Save ‘Sister Wives’
When TLC’s Sister Wives first hit the air, the public didn’t know what to do with the show. This was the first time they had come face to face with the private world of polygamy. Ratings took off as viewers watched Kody Brown court a fourth wife, Robyn. At the time, Kody was legally married to Meri Brown and had spiritual marriages with second and third wives, Janelle and Christine. Viewers got a sneak peek into what the Brown family was going through as Kody fell in love with another woman, while his three wives struggled to deal with their own jealousies during the process.
Since that time, the dynamics of the Sister Wives family have changed a bit. Kody legally divorced his first wife, Meri Brown, so he could legally marry fourth wife Robyn Brown. As horrible as that sounds, Kody did it for the right reasons, and the idea was actually Meri’s. Robyn has three children from a previous marriage. The family was worried that if anything ever happened to Robyn, the three children would be given back to their biological father. The Brown family was not open to that idea, so they decided Kody should adopt them. The only way to make this happen was to make Robyn Kody’s legal wife. Kody divorced Meri, married Robyn, and then adopted her three children, officially making them Browns.
Sister Wives show ratings continued to soar after it was discovered Meri had an online emotional affair. To make matters worse, Meri later learned that she wasn’t falling in love with who she thought she was. It turns out Meri’s love interest was actually a woman catfishing her and pretending to be a man. The drama helped the show come back to life for a while, but now that the drama has died down and the family has returned to normal life, ratings are dropping. It only makes sense that Kody would come up with a crazy idea to try and make sure Sister Wives is renewed for another season.
In a desperate attempt to save Sister Wives, Kody Brown has made the decision to take on a fifth wife, and it turns out the chosen wife is already a part of the show. The Hollywood Gossip shared on Wednesday that according to Life & Style magazine, Kody has his sights set on Robyn’s step-niece, Mindy Jessop. Mindy currently lives in Robyn’s house and takes care of Kody and Robyn’s son, Solomon. It looks like Mindy is going to be a lot more than just the nanny if this story is true.

Radar Online shared that according to the Life & Style article, Robyn “can’t believe he would betray her like that.” The source for the article also shared that all four sister wives walked out when Kody dropped the bomb that he was looking to take Mindy as his fifth wife. The source also stated, “He wants a younger female with a hot little body – which Robyn was at first. Now she believes, ‘Oh maybe I am replaceable. Maybe I have gained some weight.'”
