Brandi Glanville Weighs In On Yolanda Foster’s ‘RHOBH’ Exit, Did She Quit Or Was She Fired?

Brandi Glanville spoke out about Yolanda Foster’s exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during an interview on Friday.

Following rumors of Foster’s alleged firing or possible demotion, Glanville set the record straight, claiming it was Foster’s decision to leave the show before production began on the upcoming Season 7.

“I kind of wanted her to go back, but she chose not to and that’s up to her,” Brandi Glanville explained to ninemsn’s The FIX on Friday, June 17, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

On June 15, Foster took to Instagram, where she shared a photo of herself in the Bravo clubhouse during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live and revealed to fans that she would not be participating in the show any longer.

“I would have loved a more graceful exit then ‘Season 6’ but sometimes we don’t get to control the ending of the chapters in our life,” Foster wrote, seemingly hinting that she may have gotten the boot,

“I am leaving what’s over without denying its past importance in my life. I believe that every exit is a new entry and with that in mind I say goodbye to my @Bravotv family as I continue to focus on a my recovery, my children and bring back the privacy within our home,” Foster continued. “Thank you to all the fans for your love and unwavering support these past 4 years. I am grateful for the housewife experience and all it has thought me.”

According to Brandi Glanville, Foster had been “on the fence” about returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 7 due to the speculation surrounding her battle with Lyme disease during Season 6. As fans will recall, nearly the entire season was based on the storyline of Foster’s illness and whether or not she was being completely honest about her symptoms and her children’s diagnosis.

In addition to dealing with the ongoing stress of her co-stars’ speculations into her illness, Foster was faced with divorce during Season 6, and according to Brandi Glanville, it all became a bit too much to handle for the mother of three.

“When you’re ill and going through a divorce…do you really want to go on set with a bunch of 58-year-old women about nothing?” Brandi Glanville asked. “I don’t think it helps, I think it adds to her stress levels.”

Early this month, Tamara Tattles broke the news of Foster’s exit from the series, revealing Season 7 would consist of returning full-time housewives Erika Girardi, Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, and Kyle Richards, while Kathryn Edwards would be leaving the show along with Foster and Davidson would be demoted.

A short time later, Foster, who maintained a friendship with Brandi Glanville after her 2015 demotion, was said to have been given an ultimatum by the network, which would restrict her from speaking of Lyme disease on the show and require her to expose her love life for the cameras.

“Lyme disease is off the table for her storyline. The viewers are tired of hearing about it, and Yolanda was very unhappy about the turn of events. Yolanda said she wanted to raise awareness about Lyme disease and producers understand her position,” a source explained to In Touch Weekly magazine. “Instead, Bravo gave Yolanda an ultimatum — her storyline this season will be looking for love since she is now single.”

Brandi Glanville is not expected to appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7.
