Taylor Swift and her new boyfriend Tom Hiddleston recently enjoyed a late night romantic date at the Olympia Tea Room near the singer’s home in Rhode Island, as previously reported by US Weekly.
According to the site’s source, Tom and Tay ate a sumptuous dinner and sipped on white wine at the famous restaurant until midnight. The new couple reportedly can’t keep their hands off each other, seemingly unfazed by the amount of publicity they’ve recently been getting since photos of their beach date went their rounds on the internet on Thursday.

“Tom and Taylor were … in the back left booth drinking white wine,” the source told US Weekly, adding that Taylor and Tom ordered the restaurant’s famous Avondale Swan pastry with whipped cream and fudge. “They were very cute, a lot of laughing, giggling, as she showed him texts and photos on her phone.”
The “Blank Space” singer, 26, and the Avengers actor, 35, reportedly stayed at the restaurant for two and a half hours. After having eaten their dinner, Swift and Hiddleston ordered espressos before leaving at around midnight.
Calvin Harris, who dated Swift for 15 months before they broke up two weeks ago, seems to be taking things in stride, as he let loose a barrage of tweets promoting Rihanna’s new music video for the single “This Is What You Came For.”
“F R I D A Y @rihanna,” Harris wrote while sharing a behind-the-scenes photo from the new music video.
Harris appears to have moved on from his romance with Swift, unfollowing his ex-girlfriend on Twitter and Instagram hours after her beach photos with Hiddleston spread on the internet. Taylor returned the favor by purging Harris from her social media accounts. Unlike Calvin, however, Swift hasn’t made any updates on Twitter or Instagram, at least not in the past week.
It’s also interesting to note that Calvin Harris made a now-deleted cryptic tweet that raised the suspicion that he had prior knowledge of Taylor and Tom’s romance before the world knew about it.
“Oh boy it’s about to go down,” he tweeted on Wednesday.
And go down it did, as Taylor and Tom’s romantic photos kicked up a storm across all media. In the photos obtained by TheSun, the two lovebirds sat seaside on rocks near Swift’s $17 million beach house in Rhode Island. In one photo, Tom was seen being his usual gentlemanly self as he offered Taylor his jacket and guided her while walking on the stony beach.
“They were all over each other — hugging and kissing — even though there were 20 people coming and going on the beach,” an insider told The Sun. “They looked like any young couple madly in love without a care in the world.”

Since the photos emerged, Taylor Swift has become the subject of criticism on account of how quickly she has moved on from her relationship with Calvin Harris. Swift has always been a favorite target for slut-shaming, with jokes about her next song always being about a recent fling cropping up on a regular basis. The fact that the photos with Tom appeared just two weeks after her break up with Harris only bolstered the public’s negative opinion of her.
As previously reported in The Inquisitr, Swift and Hiddleston first met at the 2016 Met Gala in NYC in early May, where they were spotted having a dance-off at the event’s after party at Boom Boom Room.
In a May interview with MTV U.K., Tom said that he enjoyed spending time with the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer at the Met Gala.
“I sat next to her at dinner that night, and she was very charming,” Tom said. “She is amazing — I’ve seen a couple of her videos.”
