Pregnant Blake Lively Opens Up About Life With Her Adorable Family And Why She Married Ryan Reynolds

Blake Lively has recently chatted about her marriage to Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and the intentions they have for their children. The actress, who is now pregnant with the couple’s second child, has shared that she and Ryan intend to give their little ones a “nice normal” upbringing.

The beauty went on to explain that her husband had a wonderful childhood in Vancouver, Canada, as the youngest of four boys. In Blake’s case, she was the youngest of five siblings. Lively shares about the childhood of she and her hubby that she sees as being the goal childhood she and Ryan will seek to create for their own babies.

“Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had. We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had, because we’d feel really selfish.”

Although both superstars are used to fame and all that goes along with achieving their onscreen dreams, there are certainly aspects of the celebrity life that they intend to avoid for their 18-month-old daughter James and her soon-to-arrive sibling. Surprisingly, Blake did not always want to be an actor either. She shares that in a house of five siblings within which all are trying to be in showbiz, the ambition was initially lost on her.

“When you’re the youngest of five kids, you think, Who am I? If this is who they are, and they’re shaping who I am so much, then who would I be? You strive for your own identity.”

In an interview with Marie Claire, Lively speaks about the couple’s need to avoid the paparazzi for their sanity and the sake of their child.

“I’d rather not have to deal with [paparazzi] at all, but we knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it’s hard … it’s another thing when it’s our child. She didn’t have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants.”

It’s clear that the star had the intention of keeping their little girl out of the spotlight from the time she was born. Reynold’s didn’t make any sort of announcement about his daughter’s birth until December of last year, In a humorous tweet, Reynolds revealed that he was an adoring father to James. Us Weekly relays the star’s words he posted on the social media site.

“Happy birthday to my baby girl… Sad I lost my virginity. But thankful I have a daughter.”

When it comes to who Blake feels the couple’s daughter resembles most, she says James is a bit of a mix. In her Marie Claire interview she notes the changing features of her daughter over her first year of life.

“[She] looked like [Ryan’s] doppelgänger for the first six months, [but now] she has my clammy hands! And my heavy eyelids, my meaty eyelids.”

As for why the star chose to marry Reynolds, she answers with ease sharing that the actor is her best friend who she could see herself living life with.

“I knew he would always be my best friend for my whole life. That was the biggest thing to me. I’d never known anything like the friendship that I had with him. I could like him as much as I loved him.”

And who couldn’t find Ryan Reynolds easy to befriend and be wooed by. The actor is clearly hilarious and has the outward appeal to match. The pair seem like the perfect fit as Blake appears more reserved with Reynolds the more over-the-top character who brings her humor out. It’s likely that Lively grounds funny man Ryan as well.
