Katy Perry Is Adored By A Little Mix Singer And Orlando Bloom’s Ex
Katy Perry may not be topping the charts, but she’s still has a league of fans behind her. Now, it looks like the pop star has some new fans coming out of the woodwork.
Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards revealed that she’s a huge fan of Katy Perry. She recently opened up about having the singer as her fitness inspiration. Edwards says that she looks to Perry as her personal motivation at the gym. Edwards, like Perry, is known for her curves and often flaunts it in her curve-hugging dresses, bikinis, and skimpy costumes on her Instagram account.
When it comes to people she’s personally inspired by, the 22-year-old British singer named Katy Perry as her No. 1 fitness inspiration in a recent blog post for clothing company USA Pro.
“Katy Perry is my ultimate fitness inspiration! She’s just so sassy I love her and she’s got an amazing body.”
However, not everyone agrees that Perry is a healthy role model too look up to. According to a new study, 20 popular celebrities and singers have done TV ad campaigns or promotions for food that nutritionists would label as unhealthy. In the study, Perry was mentioned for her 2012 endorsement for PopChips and her 2015 appearance in the Pepsi-sponsored Super Bowl Half Time Show, which was not a direct endorsement. Even Perry’s spokesperson, Ruth Bernstein, said that Perry never had a direct endorsement deal with Pepsi.

But the study published in the journal Pediatrics begs to differ and says Perry has a direct effect on her young fans. Researchers found that these ads can influence people’s eating habits. Even government statistics showed that 20 percent of U.S. teens are currently obese, while more are overweight.

“Celebrities should leverage their influence to promote more healthful messages,” the researchers concluded.
That latest info is not going to affect Katy’s net worth, which is on the rise. According to Forbes, Katy is one of the highest-earning celebrities. She raked in $135 million from June 2014 to June 2015 by playing in 124 locations throughout her Prismatic World Tour. Katy has also scored deals with beauty brands like Claire’s, Coty Fragrances, and Covergirl, bringing her net worth to $125 million.
And it looks like the pop star has found an unlikely companion. When Perry made her Gothic appearance at the Moschino show in Los Angeles over the weekend, she ran into Orlando Bloom’s ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. Don’t assume that there tensions between these two. An insider revealed to E! News that Perry and Kerr were extremely friendly with each other backstage prior to the show. Perry even stood up and roared when Kerr walked onto the runway.
“Miranda came backstage and she went straight to the makeup chairs where Katy was hanging out and she greeted Katy with a hug. They took selfies together and chatted like best friends for at least 10 minutes before Katy left.
“When Miranda first stepped out at the start of the show, some people were cheering and Katy was clapping and whistling too for her. At the end of the show, Katy clapped and cheered for Miranda a little louder and Miranda smiled so there clearly was no weird tension.”
The two gorgeous women even snapped a selfie together. Although neither Katy nor Miranda shared the photo on their respective Instagram pages, a fan was willing to post though photo on her Instagram. As you can see, Miranda even held the phone so that she and Katy could take the photo together.
Despite their obvious connection to Orlando Bloom, it seems like Perry, 31, and Kerr, 33, have a lot more in common than you may think. Bloom was spotted getting too cozy with Selena Gomez in Las Vegas last month, which he has been previously linked to while he was married to Kerr. Ironically enough, both Perry and Kerr have nothing but love for Gomez and have even been photographed with the young star.
