Heather Bilyeu is currently happily married to Josh Altman, but things were not always so happy in California. When Heather first started filming Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles, she was working for Madison Hildebrand, who was on the show with Altman and Josh Flagg. Madison was working in Malibu, and most of his listings often included beach property and amazing viewers. Heather was working as his assistant, but because of her role on the show, she naturally met Madison’s co-stars. And that includes Altman.
According to a new Bravo report, Heather Bilyeu is now revealing that things haven’t exactly worked things out since their friendship ended. When Heather started dating Josh, Hildebrand felt completely betrayed and he was paranoid about her stealing clients from him and handing them over to Altman. While Bilyeu did want to step out on her own and pursue real estate as a career, Madison simply felt he had to fire her. And the two haven’t really talked since.
“Nope [we don’t talk]. Not at all. You know, people evolve, and relationships evolve, and that one had run its course,” Heather Bilyeu told the Daily Dish recently, adding, “And, unfortunately, it didn’t end well. Do I have hard feelings for him still? No. Do I see a relationship happening ever again? No, I don’t think so. If we see each other I’m sure we would be cordial to one another. But, you know, it’s just one of those things. It’s run its course.”
Hildebrand did return briefly to Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles for a few episodes and he shared his side of the story during this return last year. While Hildebrand has no desire to return to the show full-time, he did film a few scenes where he ran into Josh Altman. And he revealed that Heather Bilyeu had lied to him about dating Josh, which made him question their friendship.
“It was also evident, per Heather, that her and Josh were beginning to date. That is a huge conflict of interest, so I had to let her go,” Madison has revealed about their friendship in a blog dating back to November, 2015.
But Heather is convinced that Madison was just paranoid about losing clients. For some reason, he was convinced that Bilyeu was sneaking away to steal clients, taking them from Madison and giving them to Josh.
“Part of his thoughts, when our relationship was dissolved, was that Josh and I were trying to snake his clients and do something shady,” Heather Bilyeu explains in defense of her actions, adding, “And nothing like that ever happened. And so, you know, it’s just frustrating that he thought that so badly of me at the time and hopefully now he’s seen that it’s just paranoia at the time and it is what it is. We’ve both grown and [are] in good places.”
While Madison may have been paranoid about his working relationship with Heather Bilyeu, it turned out to be love in the end. Bilyeu and Josh got married in April of this year. The two had planned to get married about two years ago, but things didn’t go as expected. They were too busy to plan a wedding, and they ended up fighting more than planning the happiest day of their life. Instead, they took the time they needed and planned out the perfect wedding in the mountains. And one can imagine that Hildebrand wasn’t invited to the wedding.
What do you think of Heather Bilyeu blaming paranoia on Madison’s decision to fire her and ultimately end their friendship? Do you think they could be friends again?
