Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Respond To Rumors About Their Relationship
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are Hollywood’s hottest odd couple, and their very different backgrounds have made their romance the subject of more than a few rather bizarre rumors. However, the platinum blonde style icon and the man who once rocked a mullet don’t let the goofy gossip get to them; they know it comes with the territory, and they aren’t going to let it ruin their happiness.
During a recent interview with the Boot, Blake Shelton said he’s learned to live with the rumors about his personal life.
“You just have to accept it and go, ‘Man, people know the ins and outs, and what they don’t [know], they make up,'” Blake said. “You just have to accept it and know they’re going to talk about it. And that’s okay.”
Blake Shelton understands that there’s a reason the tabloids exist, and he even admits that he’s been in the shoes of the fans who are curious about the personal lives of their favorite celebrities.
“I think about celebrities I know of, and I talk about them; I wonder about them. The people I read about and see in movies or whatever … I do it, too,” Blake confessed. “It makes sense that it happens. It just is what it is.”
Blake Shelton refuses to complain about his lot in life now that he’s achieved so much success. He’s dating Gwen Stefani, he’s a fan favorite judge on The Voice, and his new album was No. 1 on the Billboard charts the same week his Angry Birds movie was No. 1 at the box office. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Blake Shelton can even add “underwear model” to his resume. However, he keeps his skivvies hidden underneath his jeans in his Gildan underwear ad.
“At the end of the day, I’m lucky to get to do what I do, and I asked for that. To get something like this, all that stuff has to happen, too,” Blake said.
The country singer revealed that he’s not worried about the tabloids digging up any real dirt on him because he “doesn’t have one single secret.”
“I walk out of my house with my head held high every day. I don’t have any land mines I have to avoid or anything. I’m not ashamed of anything.”
Blake’s girlfriend also doesn’t let the gossip bother her. In fact, Gwen Stefani is so amused by some of the wedding and pregnancy rumors that she and Blake are dogged by that she wants to wallpaper her bathroom with tabloid covers claiming that she’s pregnant with twins or planning a shotgun wedding.
“I have somebody collecting everything,” Gwen said during an interview with 107.9 The Link hosts Bob & Sheri. “I’m going to do wallpaper out of it in the bathroom.”

Gwen Stefani said that she thinks some of the tabloid rumors are “hilarious,” but occasionally she’ll almost let something get under her skin. Whenever this happens, she just reminds herself that she and everyone she really cares about knows what the truth is, and that’s what really matters.
“I’ve never really been on tabloids, so it’s been kind of fun,” Gwen confessed.
Gwen Stefani had a little fun with the persistent pregnancy rumors while filming her live music video for “Make Me Like You.” As E! News points out, she holds up a fake tabloid with a headline that reads, “Gwen Pregnant with Alien Baby!” in the beauty shop scene.
Gwen later tried to trick her fans by announcing that she was pregnant with a human girl on April 1. Blake came to her defense after some people complained that her April Fools’ Day prank was insensitive to women who suffer from fertility issues.
Blake also enjoys joking about the pregnancy rumors. Last month, he and Adam Levine’s pregnant wife, Behati Prinsloo, compared baby bump sizes in a silly Instagram photo.
Blake later turned down a Twitter marriage proposal from a fan who didn’t realize that he’d already gotten hitched and given birth to twin alien babies.
