‘Big Brother 18′ Spoilers: 12 Houseguests’ Names Revealed, Coach Twist Possible, And Battle Of The Block Back?

It’s that time again — in just seven days, Big Brother 18 kicks off on CBS.

On Tuesday, June 14, CBS released part of the cast to the public, People reports. Apparently, the fans were not entirely convinced CBS was completely truthful after they issued a casting call for 12 “mock houseguests” several weeks ago. Is it possible that CBS is trying to throw the fans off, and the released names and faces are not the “real” Big Brother 18 houseguests?

The names CBS released are:

  • Paul Abrahamian
  • Victor Arroyo
  • Corey Brooks
  • Paulie Calafiore
  • Bronte D’Acquisto
  • Bridgette Dunning
  • Zakiyah Everette
  • Jozea Flores
  • Glenn Garcia
  • Michelle Meyer
  • Natalie Negrotti
  • Tiffany Rousso

Robyn Kass, Big Brother 18 casting director, stated a few months ago that they were looking for something special for BB18. Apparently, she was well aware that the past few seasons, the fans have not been happy with the cast, and they wanted to make sure BB18 would not only be a good season, but better than the past few years.

Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that there is a very real possibility of a coaches season, and listed the likely coaches in the running for the season. They suggested that Frank Edy (BB14), Nicole Franzel (BB16), Da’Vonne (BB17), and James Huling (BB17) were in line to be the coaches for Big Brother 18.

At first, the rumors picked up on social media that Vanessa Rousso would return in the house, but later it was discovered that her sister, Tiffany Rousso, would enter the house as a player with a secret. Vanessa loved the game, and her followers had commented that she seemed to be “itching” to get back in the game. Rousso has been pretty busy lately — appearing last week as a finalist at a poker tournament.

The fact that CBS only released 12 names so far tells the fans that there is at least four player identities not known. We don’t know at this point if the secret houseguests are returning players or newbies.

The long-standing rumor has been that there will be 10 new players, two relatives of former players, and four veterans from Seasons 14, 16, and 17. The rumor seems plausible right now, as 10 new players and two relatives were announced this week. Does that mean that we are awaiting the news of the four Big Brother veteran players?

Of course, there is the possibility that the houseguests introduced to the public are a sham and are not the ones we’ll see once the game begins on June 22. Big Brother Network reported that CBS was looking for “mock houseguests” to live in the house from June 6 to 11. It gives us something to think about, at the very least.

Another tidbit we know about Big Brother is that Battle of the Block will return. It isn’t a fan favorite, that’s for sure, but the competition serves its purpose by pitting two Head of Households against each other. It forces them to work together or target one another. In that aspect, the twist is a genius idea. It’s just not so interesting to watch sometimes.

Every year, the fans wait for CBS to drop the names of the Big Brother houseguests. And each year, they complain that they don’t look like good players, or deem the season to fail like the “lame houseguests.” Like seasons past, as the fans, we will watch the show and get to know the players as we have in previous years.

In just seven days, Big Brother 18 will begin, and we will find out if this season will be a “coaches twist.” Big Brother fans, do you think they are recycling the coaches twist for BB18?
