Emily Blunt Clocks Time With Baby Hazel Before ‘Mary Poppins’ With Lin Manuel Miranda

Emily Blunt is busier than ever in Hollywood, having just scored the title role in the Mary Poppins sequel with Lin-Manuel Miranda. But that does not mean that she is neglecting her duties as a mom with her first baby, Hazel.

She has another one on the way, which means that she has to get better about dividing her time between family and work.

“Her youngest is about to become a big sister for the first time,” reports the Daily Mail. “Which is why Emily Blunt was making sure her two year-old Hazel was getting some special attention on Tuesday, as the duo spent dedicated time by themselves in Los Angeles. Emily, 33, is currently expecting her second child with husband John Krasinski and highlighted that fact with her protruding baby bump on show in horizontal stripes.”

She and her husband, John Krasinski, have often stepped out in public with their baby daughter, not letting paparazzi get in the way of them enjoying a pleasant family outing.

He recently confirmed that they are expecting their second baby “soon-ish” and that they are very excited.

But their daughter, Hazel, has not quite warmed up to the idea of having another kid around the house, vying for the same love she receives from Emily and John.

“I broached it with her and the first response when I said, ‘You know, Hazel, there’s a baby in there, you’re gonna be a big sister,” was she looked at me and went, ‘Nope.’ And I went, ‘Yes,'” the actress said according to the Bit Bag.

“I thought that I was not yet at the point where my body was just really embarrassing to my child,” she said. “So I got into the bath with her, and she goes, ‘Whoah, Mama, BIG!’ I went, ‘We are never bathing together again. That’s it.’ She just sounded like Barry White.”

The fact that Emily Blunt is flowing with funny stories and jokes means her second pregnancy is treating her very well. Whenever she has appeared in public, she was basically shining with the glow of her second child.

“Emily Blunt looked the picture of happiness as she left a hair salon in Beverly Hills on Friday, looking positively radiant following her pampering session,” reports the Daily Mail. “The 33-year-old actress was rocking a casual and comfy look for her outing, keeping her baby bump covered up in a loose maternity top.”

Her second baby isn’t the only thing that she is expecting. She is also gearing up to star in the Mary Poppins sequel with the biggest name on Broadway — Lin-Manuel Miranda.

“Walt Disney Studios announced on Tuesday that Into the Woods star Emily Blunt would be taking over the part of the famous nanny in a sequel to the 1964 classic film, confirming the British actor’s long-heralded involvement,” reports the Guardian. “She was said to be the producers’ first choice. Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda will also star as a new character, Jack, the street lamplighter.”

When asked about his co-star, Lin-Manuel only had good things to say.

“I’ve heard the songs and they’re amazing,” Hamilton creator said to E! Online. “It’s incredible so I’m proud to be a part of it. And could you imagine a better Mary Poppins than Emily Blunt? Are you kidding me? I’m just so thrilled to be in that room.”

With that kind of confirmation from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Blunt is getting to be a stalwart in the musical industry.
