Kesha On Tour With Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party

Kesha, the American singer and songwriter best known for “Tik-Tok” and “We R Who We R,” recently found herself in tears on stage. According to E! Online, Kesha had tears in her eyes before she took the stage to perform her rendition of “Til It Happens To You.”

Less than three weeks after she surprised her fans at the Coachella Music Festival, Kesha made another appearance at The Humane Society of the United States Los Angeles Gala. At the gala, Kesha performed the song “Til It Happens To You” with the honoree of the evening, Diane Warren, in dedication to every man, woman, child, and animal that has ever been abused. During the performance of the song, photos, and videos showing caged farm animals on a big screen at the back of the stage.

The assembled crowd gave Kesha a standing ovation after her performance, and the singer took the opportunity to hug Diane Warren. The song performed by Kesha was originally written by Lady Gaga and Diane and it was first featured in The Hunting Ground, a documentary about sexual assaults that occur on college campuses.

Fans of Kesha are well aware that she is amidst a legal battle with Dr. Luke. New music by Kesha will be hard to come by, but luckily for Kesha’s fans, she still takes any opportunity to perform and entertain her fans.

According to Rolling Stone magazine, Kesha will be performing with Diplo’s Mad Decent Block party traveling festival.

In addition to Diplo and Kesha, the festival will also include Tiësto, Baauer, AlunaGeorge, DJ Snake, D.R.A.M., Kaskade and many more. The Mad Decent Block Party traveling festival will begin on June 30 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and it concludes on October 1 in Los Angeles.

As of now, Kesha is scheduled to perform in at least three Block Party gigs happening on August 7 at Brooklyn’s MCU Park, August 21 at Chicago’s FirstMerit Bank Pavilion and the tour-ending visit to L.A. Center Studios.

This is great news for Kesha, as she finally gets to go back into the spotlight following her legal battle with Dr. Luke. Recent appearances by Kesha also include a surprise guest spot during Zedd’s Coachella concert in April, and just two weeks later she released her collaboration with Zedd, “True Colors.” Kesha also made an appearance in an all-star celebration of Bob Dylan’s 75th birthday at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on May 23 and May 24.

The recent release of Kesha’s collaborative work with Zedd has garnered her attention from fans and critics. According to MTV, while some people might not agree with it being a very Kesha-sounding track, they are still happy to hear Kesha sing once again.

Although it might not be in true Kesha style, “True Colors” nonetheless remind fans that Kesha still has that voice that everyone remembers and loves despite all her legal problems and restrictions. Some MTV writers agree that the song is a good reminder of how much the pop music world missed having Kesha releasing new music, and that her voice still sounds fantastic.

They also agree that when they switched on and listened to the song, they were expecting to hear a Cyndi Lauper cover. Some of the writers on MTV miss the old glitter-bombed electropop mastermind that was the earlier version of Kesha, and they also reminded themselves of Kesha writing one of Britney Spears’ best songs back in 2010.
