Harry Styles Slams Zayn Malik For New One Direction Diss, Calls “Pillowtalk” Singer ‘Desperate’

Harry Styles is so over Zayn Malik constantly bashing his former One Direction band members in interviews, especially with his most recent comments during a chat with Dazed magazine.

The “Pillowtalk” singer didn’t hold back when openly stressing that he didn’t feel like he was anything but a generic member of a pop group. Malik explains that he’s been desperate to share his artistic skills, but since their music was always a group effort, his ideas would always be overshadowed by another pop record that could potentially land their next number one hit.

Zayn never wanted to chase after a number one song, he wanted to make music that felt authentic to who he was. Since the release of his debut album Mind of Mine, it is evidently clear that the genre of music Malik is most passionate about is R&B, having already collaborated with the likes of Usher and Chris Brown.

With that said, in his latest interview with Dazed, Zayn Malik somewhat bashes his former band members by claiming that he “never felt good” being affiliated with the group because his taste in music was so different than to the one the likes of Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan wanted to record.

But with Zayn’s most recent dig at One Direction, Hollywood Life alleges that Harry is more or less over Malik and his decision to slam the group who helped him get to where he is today.

While Styles and the rest of the band were definitely hurt by Zayn’s sudden decision to leave, they respected the fact that he no longer wanted part of the group to an extent. But now that Zayn is using his platform to constantly throw digs at the people who more or less helped him prepare for his solo career, Harry is fuming at the fact that he, along with the rest of the group, is made out to be the bad guy.

“Harry is so over Zayn dissing his experience with One Direction. Harry feels like Zayn should be thankful for all the support the guys gave him, including Simon Cowell’s ongoing support,” the source explained. “The more Zayn puts down the group, the more desperate for attention he looks. At least that’s how Harry sees it.”

Styles hasn’t spoken to Malik since his departure from One Direction last year, it has been claimed. The “Be Four” singer even mentioned this in another interview, where he stressed that, while he thought he could remain friends with everyone in the group, some people had turned their backs on him and haven’t reached out since.

Fans have questioned themselves as to why Zayn Malik continuously bashes One Direction — when everything is said and done, had the R&B hitmaker never been part of the group, he might never have gotten the chance to launch his solo music.

News of Harry Styles’ reaction to Zayn’s recent comments aimed at One Direction comes just days after Malik pulled out of the CapitalFM Summertime Ball at the Wembley Stadium, stressing he had been suffering from anxiety attacks and could therefore not perform a medley of his hits.
