‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’ Adds Kelly Meza-Dodd Despite Racist Rant — Everything We Know About The Bravo Newbie

The Real Housewives of Orange County is about to welcome a new lady into the fold.

Enstarz is reporting that Kelly Meza-Dodd will join the show for its upcoming season. Considering all the controversy Meza-Dodd has accumulated so far, fans are definitely in for another drama-filled season. With that in mind, here’s everything we know about Bravo’s newest Housewife.

For starters, Meza-Dodd is Meghan King Edmond’s good friend. The strength of their relationship isn’t known, though Meza-Dodd has made some inroads with former Housewife Lizzie Rovsek and current cast member Heather Dubrow over the past few weeks.

When she’s not in front of the camera, Meza-Dodd works as the COO of a company called Kiss Me Mirrors. According to Radar Online, Meza-Dodd brings home well over a million dollars a year.

At the same time, Meza-Dodd’s current husband, Michael, was once the head of LeapFrog Enterprises Inc.

Meza-Dodd and her husband have one kid together.

Although Meza-Dodd hasn’t appeared on RHOC yet, she stirred up some controversy during a half-drunken interview with TMZ. As fans may recall, the outlet caught up with her outside a club in Hollywood, where she expressed some racist sentiments.

“I don’t like black guys,” Meza-Dodd shared. “I don’t even know any black guys.”

She even went so far as to dish on her husband, referring to herself as “married but available.”

Fortunately, Meza-Dodd issued a formal apology for her comments shortly after the scandalous video surfaced.

“I am truly embarrassed,” she said. “There is no excuse for bad behavior or comments that offend anyone. That video does not represent who I really am and I apologize for acting irresponsibly.”

Of course, her fellow Real Housewives of Orange County cast members didn’t react kindly to Meza-Dodd’s racist ideas.

According to Reality Tea, Heather Dubrow has since spoken out against Meza-Dodd’s comments and her behavior.

“I think it’s safe to say that racism of any kind is not okay,” Dubrow stated. “I’m a mother of four children and I’m a human being – there’s no place. Anyone who uses racial slurs or has racism of any kind has no business in my life or anyone that I know’s life.”

In addition to her formal apology, Meza-Dodd took to social media to defend herself and offered another excuse for her comments.

“This is so stupid… of course, I’m not racist. I repeated the question they asked me and they asked me if I date black guys and I said I don’t know any black guys,” she stated. “I’m sick of people pulling the race card!! I’m Mexican and I don’t pull that crap!”

Clearly, Meza-Dodd knows how to create drama.

Speaking of drama, Christian Today is reporting that Tamra Judge is convinced the upcoming season of RHOC will be its best yet.

While fans can expect the old cast members, including Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon Beador, to bring plenty of drama to the table, Meza-Dodd’s addition should ramp things up to new heights.

“I thought last season was great but I think this season is going to be off-the-charts,” Judge shared. “We have a new girl, and I would have to say she makes me look so innocent if you can image.”

At the same time, Dubrow’s hubby, Terry, agreed with Tamra’s comments about the new season. For Terry, the season will feature a brand new type of drama than previous years.

“Some of the seasons in the past in OC have been sort of recapitulations of old sort of things,” he explained to Wet Paint. “This is a brand new set of circumstances. It’s highly-charged, real emotion, real anger, [and] real angst.”

Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Orange County is set to premiere June 20 on Bravo.
