Michael Clarke Duncan has passed away. He was 54.

Duncan, who was best known for his roles in The Green Mile and Armageddon, suffered a heart attack in July. His fiance Omarosa Stallworth was able to save his life at the time by giving the actor CPR. Duncan was taken to the hospital and remained there throughout the month of August.

Sadly, Stallworth reported this morning that the actor had passed away at a hospital in Los Angeles.

A rep for the actor said:

“[Omarosa] Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date.”

Duncan started his career in show business as a body guard for stars like Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, LL Cool J, and Notorious B.I.G. The 6-foot-5, 300 pound actor started acting in the 90s and had bit parts in shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Married With Children, and Weird Science. Duncan caught his big break in 1998 when he starred opposite Bruce Willis in the blockbuster  Armageddon. 

In 1999, Duncan received an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of John Coffey in the movie Green Mile.
