Zayn Malik And Gigi Hadid Back Together: Did They Ever Really Split?

Zayn Malik fans were delighted to hear that the former One Direction band member was single after he broke up with his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. However, according to People magazine, the breakup was short-lived and the pair is now back together.

Zayn Malik was spotted holding hands with Gigi Hadid on Friday as the couple walked around New York City.

Earlier that same day, Zayn Malik’s girlfriend posted a photo on Snapchat of two custom Nutella jars, one inscribed with the name Gigi and the other with Zayn, with the caption “kitchen goals.”

The People magazine article goes on to question whether Zayn Malik had ever really been single. When People first reported on the supposed breakup, it was also reported that a source had revealed that the relationship was “not totally over.” During the split, which lasted only one week, Gigi was spotted at the Maybelline New York Beauty Bash in Los Angeles happily dancing along to Zayn Malik’s hit song, “Pillow Talk.”

Hadid had also taken part in an interview during the split and had mentioned her “boyfriend” in response to the question of whether she prefers to spend a night in or has more fun on a night out. Answering that she prefers to “just chill,” Gigi referred to her “boyfriend” in her answer.

“Cook. Paint. Play with my dog. Hang out with my boyfriend. Watch movies.”

Zayn Malik, the British pop star who is a former member of One Direction, was spotted holding up his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, after her 21st birthday, according to the Sun.

She might have had a little too much to drink, but that did not prove to be a problem because Zayn Malik was at the scene to rescue her. With her celebrating her birthday for a week, the culmination came in the form of a celebrity-filled birthday bash at the Nice Guy restaurant.

When she arrived at the restaurant, Gigi was with her best friend and fellow model Kendall Jenner. Leaving was a completely different story, though, as she found herself in the arms of her boyfriend, former One Direction member Zayn Malik. Gigi’s arm was slung around the neck of Zayn, and Zayn, being the gentleman he is, held his hand firmly around Gigi’s waist pulling her in close to him as she was stepping past the waiting paparazzi.

At one point during the walk out of the restaurant, a picture was taken of Gigi nuzzling Zayn’s cheek was taken, and another picture showed a sweet smile on Zayn’s face while he was helping his sweetheart out of the venue and into her vehicle. Once they got to the vehicle, the couple put on a display for, or perhaps in spite of, the cameras. Zayn leaned in close to Gigi and planted his face upon her neck as she grabbed the side of his face and smiled happily. The two were happy to be by each other’s side, and it showed.

The two looked amazing that evening with Gigi wearing a sensational pair of white hotpants, a black spaghetti top, and sexy thigh-high caged boots by Tom Ford. Zayn also managed to rock some style that evening in his hand-painted Pyer Moss x Gregory Siff leather jacket which was matched with black skinny jeans and a black-and-white T-shirt.

While the two arrived at the party together, rumors were circulating that they might be making an appearance as a couple in another important occasion. According to the Telegraph, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid made an appearance together as a couple at the 2016 Met Gala Red Carpet event, the first red carpet that the pair attended together as a couple.

Gigi was spotted at the event wearing a beautiful gunmetal Tommy Hilfiger sequin bodice and sheer skirt. Zayn decided to take the metal theme a little further than Gigi by wearing metal plate by Versace over his classic tuxedo, which some internet commenters referred to as a timeless classic with a modern twist.

Zayn might be able to take the crown away from Rihanna as the most memed celebrity in Met Gala history this year. Just shortly after he had been photographed, Zayn had been jokingly called a Transformer, a cyborg, the comic book character the Winter Soldier, and even the Tin Man.

Some of the memes found online juxtaposed photos of Zayn Malik with pictures of characters like Game of Thrones‘ the Hound and pictures of the Winter Soldier. Despite the interesting choice of metallic clothing, the couple still managed to look coordinated together as they kept up with the metal aesthetic. Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were even officially anointed as fashion’s youngest power couple when they were given a joint editorial for Vogue.
