VP Elizabeth Warren Will Make Me Vote Trump, Mark Cuban Reveals

If Hillary Clinton selects Elizabeth Warren as her running mate in the 2016 presidential election, Mark Cuban acknowledged that he will probably vote for Donald Trump, the GOP standard-bearer.

Warren is too much of a far-left, partisan Democrat, Cuban suggested.

Warren endorsed Clinton last week after she locked up the Democrat nomination, and rumors have circulated in the media that the Massachusetts senator is on Hillary’s vice presidential short list.

Cuban, the billionaire Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank star, has modestly offered up himself as Clinton’s running mate, but he also expressed doing the same for Trump, with whom he has a constantly changing love-hate relationship.

“Maybe it’s time to have an independent vice president who can cross the aisle, communicate, and not be driven by dogma,” Mark Cuban declared in a recent podcast about the possibility, remote as it appears to be, of joining either ticket.

Cuban describes himself as a down-the-middle independent voter.

As a former Democrat and Independent himself, Donald Trump has ironically perhaps been on the receiving end of a lot of condemnation from #NeverTrump conservatives, who have questioned the controversial New York real estate mogul’s ideological purity as they see it.

In an interview on the Fox Business Channel, Cuban admitted he would likely climb aboard the Trump Train and cast a ballot for his reality show counterpart if Elizabeth Warren becomes Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential selection.

“There’s a good chance I would vote for Donald Trump. We need to be more center…This country needs solutions…we don’t need headline porn. We don’t need people playing to progressives, playing to conservatives. The more we deal with labels than solutions, the bigger our problems get. If you keep on giving what you’ve always got, you keep on getting what you’ve always got…and this partisanship, this tribalism has got us where…we’re not able to do anything and that’s got to change. Elizabeth Warren has accomplished a lot in her life, but taking it that far left would be a huge mistake anymore than if Donald Trump went the other way. We need to come center.”

Cuban also argued that both candidates are “severely deficient in technology,” so he would fulfill a key role by bringing his tech background to either campaign.

Of late, Cuban has harshly criticized Trump, but about a year ago, he described his frenemy as “probably the best thing to happen to politics in a long, long time” because the politically incorrect developer and ex-Celebrity Apprentice host speaks his mind rather than spouting rehearsed talking points.

According to The Hill, Cuban thinks Hillary Clinton will win the November 2016 presidential election in a landslide as Bernie Sanders supporters eventually move into her corner. It remains to be seen if that will happen in large numbers, however. Dilbert creator Scott Adams has made the exact opposite prediction, i.e., that Trump will win in a landslide, because of his ability as a “master persuader.”

Separately, an influential Native American writer has deemed Elizabeth Warren a “Pretendian” for her inability to provide proof about her background.

“So many Indigenous women I admire have come to the defense of Warren, and it feels ugly to say anything against them, but when did being a Pretendian become better than being a racist?,” Terese Mailhot wrote.

During her 2012 election contest against then-Sen. Scott Brown, Harvard law professor Elizabeth Warren insisted at the time that she was 1/32 Cherokee, but no corroboration of the validity of this claim has emerged. There are also allegations that Warren nonetheless used her “minority” status to obtain important teaching positions at several prestigious universities under affirmative action politicies.
