Adele Tells Iconic Bowie Producer Tony Visconti To ‘Suck My D***’ When He Says Her Records Might Be Auto Tuned [Video]

Adele apparently doesn’t like to have her singing voice critiqued. When the late David Bowie’s legendary producer Tony Visconti suggested that even the great diva’s voice may have been manipulated to make it sound better, her response was “Suck my d***.”

Visconti was specifically referring to auto tune, and when he mentioned voice manipulation, he commented on Adele, noted People.

“You turn the radio on and it’s fluff, you are listening to 90 per cent computerized voices. We know Adele has a great voice but it’s even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much has been manipulated. We don’t know.”

Although Visconti didn’t address Adele directly, she must have gotten wind of his interview, which was posted in the Daily Star. At a concert, she felt compelled to address the alleged voice manipulation, added People.

“Some d—head tried to say that my voice was not me on record… Dude, suck my d—.”

As Visconti said, everyone knows Adele is a cut above the rest with her vocals, so why he would choose to single her out, no one knows. However, the Grammy-award-winning vocalist wasn’t having it.

Some on Twitter pledged their full support to Adele.

Others wondered why she reacted so strongly and how she gets a pass on her response.

It seems that the 72-year-old Visconti, who produced Bowie’s Black Star album, had more than Adele on his mind. He spoke about the state of music in general, and particularly, how raw talent is neither appreciated nor showcased, the Daily Star also noted.

At a Friday show in France, Adele told fans to stop filming her on their phones. She left the stage to interact with fans who were sitting near the front of the stadium. When she did, many fans pulled out their phones, so they could capture the spontaneous moment, per the Daily Mail.

“I want to tell that lady as well, can you stop filming me with the video camera… I’m really here in real-life, you can enjoy it in real-life rather than through your camera.”

Just weeks earlier, she admonished a fan in Verona about filming. Obviously, this isn’t something Adele likes, and she isn’t afraid to let it be known. Other concert attendees applauded when the “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” singer told audience members that she’d like for them to enjoy the show as there were others outside who wanted to come in but could not.

Adele will be touring through November 2016. She seems to have a deep appreciation for her fans but recently said she will be taking a five-year leave from music to focus on her boyfriend and her now 3-year-old son.
