Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Plan Wedding: Romantic Details Revealed
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have taken their rekindled romance one step further. The lovebirds are planning the details of a summer wedding, a source told Us Weekly.
Those who attend may want to brush off their beach blankets and water shoes, however, because Miley and Liam want waves for their wedding day.
“They’re getting married on the beach,” shared the source.
Since meeting in 2010 on the set of The Last Song, Cyrus and Hemsworth have gone through a series of break-ups and make-ups. But now their renewed romance seems so solid that they’re ready to tie the knot in Australia.
The exact date for the wedding ceremony is not yet known, but the couple are envisioning a summer event. Even though Miley and Liam have not shared the news of an engagement in interviews, Cyrus has been pointedly flaunting her engagement ring again.
It’s the same bling that Hemsworth presented to her in 2012. Now, after getting together again in December following a lengthy hiatus, the couple is ready to make it official with a wedding. Although they are trying to keep their plans private, a friend told Us Weekly that Liam and Miley have asked relatives to give them a hand in planning the ceremony.
“Their parents are doing most of the work [for the wedding]. It’s been easy!”
In addition to planning the wedding, one parent has already volunteered to officiate. Cyrus’ father, Billy Ray, shared that he is willing to take on the role of a preacher in a reference to his CMT show, Still the King.
“They know if they need a preacher, they’ve found one,” declared Billy Ray.
And it’s not just Miley and Liam who can benefit from her father’s preaching services.
“I will dress as Elvis Presley and do your wedding,” he teased. “I am a hooker. I can be bought.”
But Billy Ray isn’t joking when it comes to Miley’s happiness.
“They’re really happy together now,” he revealed about Liam and his daughter.
Throughout their rekindled romance, privacy has played a key role in keeping their relationship on track. And that’s one reason Hemsworth and Cyrus may be tying the knot at an Australian estate by the beach that belongs to his brother Chris, according to Hollywood Life.
With the goal of avoiding paparazzi and the public, the lovebirds figure that using Chris’ secluded mansion to stage their wedding could provide them with their dream ceremony. And everyone involved likes the plan.
“Miley and Liam have been considering having their wedding at big brother Chris’ gorgeous home in Byron Bay, Australia. Miley & Liam have been spending a lot of time down under planning their wedding and brother Chris has opened his massive home to the pair,” a source told Hollywood Life.
The two brothers have always been close, while Cyrus has formed a friendship with Chris’ wife Elsa Pataky. Consequently, having the ceremony followed by a big celebration at that Australia estate fulfills their vision for their wedding, added the insider.
“They love the idea of having a huge party at Chris’ place. Everything about the beachside home is beautiful and secluded, just the way Liam likes it.”
Cyrus is familiar with the area because she and Hemsworth have visited before.
“Byron Bay, is beautiful, private and comfortable. They have been spending a lot of time there and Miley loves it over there,” added the insider.
As for confirming their romance in public, Cyrus is letting a dog do the talking. Well, sort of. Teen Vogue pointed out that on two occasions, Miley has shared a photo herself cuddling with Liam’s dog Dora.
