Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith: Couple Reportedly Clashing Over Will’s ‘Selfishness’ — Here’s What Happened

Is there really trouble in paradise for Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith? That may definitely be the case if the latest claims are true.

According to Radar Online, an insider has come forth with bombshell claims about Will and Jada’s downward spiral as rumors about their marital problems continue to mount. In fact, the insider also claims Will Smith is making a gratuitous effort to uproot his family and relocate from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. But, why?

Will reportedly has a desire to shift his career toward politics — a move his wife, Jada, isn’t too happy about. The speculation about Will Smith’s interest in politics follows a statement he recently made when he was asked about the current presidential election. Like many other Americans, it seems Will Smith isn’t too thrilled about the political circus going on or the proposed plans presented by the presidential candidates in the forefront.

Will said, “[I]f people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff [then] they’re going to force me into the political arena. I mean, I gotta be the president. Come on! What else would I run for?”

The statement wasn’t very detailed and actually seemed more like a typical Will Smith joke, but, of course, it raised speculation about the possibility of a career shift in his future. The insider claims Will Smith is serious about entering the political arena, but Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t fond of the idea, which has caused a rift in their marriage.

While Jada still loves the art of production and film, Will is reportedly ready to move on to more challenging efforts. Although the career change claims have yet to be confirmed or denied, the insider states Will Smith has already stashed cash for the upcoming political venture.

“Will has put $100 million aside and is currently locking in a strategy that will see him ditch Hollywood for an all-out assault on landing a seat in the Senate or the House of Representatives,” the insider revealed. “He’s tired of making movies and wants a new challenge, away from Hollywood and to a more intellectual environment.”

In addition to the career shift, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are also facing marital confusions because they have different opinions of Washington, D.C.

“He and Jada have clashed about this big time,” said the source. “She says he’s being delusional and selfish.”

The latest rumors about Will Smith’s shift toward politics follows a report that he and Jada Pinkett Smith are being dragged into Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell-Martin’s bankruptcy case. Apparently, Will and Jada became factors in the case when suspicions grew regarding the short sale of the couple’s 7,000-square-foot home.

The bankruptcy reports are the latest reports attaching Will and Duane’s names, but in the past, the two have actually been rumored to be more than just friends. The two men were actually rumored to be lovers, which only fueled the more divorce rumors about both couples. But, over time, the rumors fizzled out.

Now, could Jada and Will be on the rocks for a totally different reason? If the rumors are true, the potential “first family” could disband before will has a chance to even make plans to run for office. However, he has a couple years to wait it out. So, of course, the latest rumor will probably wane or prove to be false over time. Will Smith has made it clear that he and Jada Pinkett Smith will not be divorcing despite all of the rumors. If he does decide to run for public office, they’ll probably work it all out.
