Jennifer Lopez Announces Surprise New Collaboration, Forms Girl Squad

Jennifer Lopez is set to release an unprecedented musical collaboration with Nacho, according to Billboard. Nacho, the Venezuelan musician who forms one-half of the duo Chino y Nacho, announced on Instagram that he is working on new music with none other than Jennifer Lopez.

The photo was captioned “El secreto es no detenerse” which Billboard translated as “the secret is to never stop.” The video shows Nacho speaking in Spanish, and Jennifer Lopez can be heard giggling in the background. She then appears towards the end of the video and kisses Nacho on the cheek.

Billboard translated Nacho’s Spanish message into English.

“The music industry has one queen and that queen has Latin roots in her heart. I feel very proud to be able to be here working, producing, writing, singing, recording and dancing with her. Her name is Jennifer but the world knows her as J.Lo.”

At this stage, no further details have been released about Jennifer Lopez’s new collaboration, but J.Lo fans are certainly excited to see what the pair can produce together.

Her new collaboration is not the only exciting news for Jennifer Lopez recently, as Forbes reports that J.Lo has just paid $28 million for a stunning Bel-Air estate formerly owned by CSI: New York actress Sela Ward.

The estate features a greenhouse, a library, an amphitheater that seats 100 people, as well as a smaller indoor theater that seats 30 people. The estate also features seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.

Jennifer Lopez has followed Taylor Swift’s trend of assembling a girl squad. A girl squad is an impressive circle of friends comprised of famous female celebrities from Hollywood and the fashion industry. And nowadays, forming a famous girl squad or being a part of one is a sure sign that you’ve achieved a certain amount of success in the industry.

Entertainment Tonight reported that Jennifer Lopez’s Las Vegas show was attended by her ultimate girl squad that comprised of Jessica Alba, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Meghan Trainor, and Laverne Cox.

The impressive group of celebrity friends attended the show after making an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards ceremony. The squad decided to celebrate the awards function after-party along with their favorite diva. Jennifer Lopez caught up with her squad backstage and took several photos with them, and Khloe Kardashian and Jessica Alba posted the photograph on their respective Instagram accounts.

As it turns out, it is not just fame that makes female celebrities hang around Jennifer Lopez. Her on-stage performances and her aura seem to bedazzle other female celebrities, who eventually become the diva’s celebrity-fan following.

Jennifer Lopez has come a long way since 1999, when her hit album On the 6 was released after the singer achieved a certain level of stardom through the Selena biopic. Her style and fashion sense have certainly evolved along with her singing style and ability. Jennifer Lopez shows her unique fashion sense through her dance moves and outfits which highlight her well-maintained physique.

The late 1990s saw the “Jenny from the Block” singer flashing a sparkling bra and wearing chocolate lipstick in Selena. Later she attended the 2000 MTV Video Music awards and made a style statement by wearing a white spandex outfit that clearly showed her well-toned abs.

And no one will forget the exotic green Versace silk chiffon dress that Jennifer wore at the 42nd Grammy Awards in 2000. In fact, the outfit prompted internet users to embark on a massive collective online search to view the photo of Jennifer Lopez donning the Versace’s design. According to Vogue, it was the popularity of the images of that particular dress that motivated Google to create Google Images Search.

And Jennifer Lopez somehow seems to shine no matter what the occasion. According to Latin Times, The “Waiting for Tonight” singer manages to steal the show whenever she’s in public, whether during awards ceremonies, red carpet parties or while performing on-stage.

In 2015, Jennifer Lopez attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on February 22, 2015, in a low-cut sparkling gold Zuhair Murad gown. But it’s at the Billboard Awards ceremonies over the years that Jennifer Lopez has shined the most. In 2014, she stole the show on the Billboard Awards red carpet by wearing a Donna Karan-designed red dress with high side slits worn over a red bodysuit and accepted her Icon Award. In 2015, J.Lo again dominated the red carpet spotlight in a jaw-dropping silver gown from Charbel Zoe Couture. The skillfully placed embroidery on the gown provided Jennifer ample opportunity to flaunt her flawless physique.

As far as her performances at the Billboard Awards are concerned, the star performer has wowed the audiences with various outfits that ranged from a black bodysuit to a sequined one-shouldered jumpsuit. For some of her electrifying performance, Jenifer Lopez has worn a bright red sparkling bodysuit with huge marabou feathered sleeves and matching red thigh-high boots.

And while the superstar has always admired her own physique, she has now designed a new t-shirt to prove it. Style News reports that the singing sensation took to social media to post photos of the limited edition tank top that read “lucky to have these curves”.

Fans have been delighted to find that the top comes in a number of styles and sizes, even up to the 3XL size, as the J.Lo design promises to cater even the most curvaceous Jennifer Lopez fan.
